CORY BARNES, YMCA Tumbling Tornados - Canton, IL Cory is 17 years old and has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, & double- mini for twelve years. He was on the 2010-11 USTA National Team. His favorite National Team trip was Woodward. After high school, Cory wants to go to college and become a Special Education Teacher. He would like to meet Jason Burnett because he set the World Record for difficulty on the trampoline. The skill that was the hardest for Cory to learn was a full out. Cory likes to play baseball, hunt, fish, and play the guitar. He is in the 11th grade at Canton High School where his favorite subjects are Science and English. ® RACHAEL BARNETTE, Fox Valley Power Tumbling & Trampoline - McHenry, IL Rachael is 15 years old. This is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini ten years. After high school/college, she would like to have a job and possibly be coaching. Rachael would like to meet either Shawn Johnson because she is her favorite athlete or Zac Efron because he is her favorite actor. Back walk-overs were the hardest skill for Rachael to learn. Other than T&T, her favorite past- times are being a kid with her friends, playing sports, and just being carefree. Rachael is in the 10th grade at Johnsburg High School. World History is her favorite subject. ® NICHOLAS BARON, 5 Star Elite - Ringwood, IL Nicholas is 15 years old. This is the first time he has been a member of the USTA National Team. He has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini eleven years. Nicholas has two interests - building and architecture or working with animals. He would most like to meet Betty White because she is inspirational and hilarious. The skill that was the hardest for him to learn was a rudi out tuck. His favorite past-times are hanging out with friends, tennis, golf, snow skiing, boating, and wake boarding. Nicholas is in the 9th grade at Marian Central Catholic High School. Science and Computers are his favorite subjects. McKENDRA BARTHELME, Illinois Gymnastics Club of Olney - Olney, IL McKendra is 14 years old. This is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling for nine years and trampoline/double-mini seven years. After high school, McKendra plans to go to a University, participate in college athletics, and become an orthodontist. McKendra would like to be a performer from Cirque Du Soleil because she is interested in learning more about what it takes to become a performer. She loves to do all kinds of sports - soccer, softball, cross country, track, and volleyball. She also enjoys band and drum line. Madison is in the 8th grade at Jasper County Junior High and her favorite subject is Algebra. ® AUBREY BEYERS, Kris’ Power Tumbling - Shelbyville, IL Aubrey is 10 years old and this is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini five years. Aubrey would like to be a dentist/orthodontist or a veterinarian. She would like to meet Shawn Johnson because Shawn is really good at her sport and Aubrey wants to be good at her sport like her. The skill that was hardest for Aubrey to learn was a rudi (she couldn’t find her feet). Other than T&T, Aubrey’s favorite past-times are soccer, dance (especially hip-hop), four wheeler riding, American Girls, and playing with her cat. She is a 5th grade student at Sacred Heart School in Pana, IL. Her favorite subject is Science. ® GRAYSON BEYERS, Kris’ Power Tumbling - Shelbyville, IL Grayson is 12 years old. This is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini for six years. Grayson wants to be a veterinarian or a pediatrician. She would like to meet Shawn Johnson because Shawn is her role model and Grayson loves watching her on the Olympics. The skill that was the hardest for Grayson to learn was a rudi. Other than T&T, Grayson’s favorite past-times are volleyball, running, dance, and hanging out with her friends and family. Grayson is in the 6th grade at Jefferson Middle School. Her favorite subjects are Science and Reading. ® JOSH COLES, 5 Star Elite - Ringwood, IL Josh is 17 years old. This is the first time he has been a member of the USTA National Team. He has been involved in tumbling for 13 years, trampoline for 10 years, and double-mini for 12 years. Josh wants to perform in Cirque Du Soleil. He would like to meet his Great Grandma because she died when Josh was a baby and all he has heard about her are amazing things. A back in full out straight was the hardest skill for him to learn. Other than T&T, his favorite past-times are playing other sports with his friends (such as football, baseball and soccer), hanging out with his friends at the mall, the beach, or downtown Chicago, traveling, and seeing all the new types of people and places. He is a student at McHenry County College. His favorite subject is Math. ® KARISSA DILLER, Gymnastics, Etc. - Bloomington, IL Karissa is 19 years old. This is the fourth time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. Her favorite National Team trip was to Tampa, Florida, in February of 2007. She has been involved in tumbling for six years and trampoline/double-mini for twelve years. After she graduates from college, Karissa wants to be an Athletic Trainer at the United States Olympic Training Center. She would like to meet to cast of the TV show, Gossip Girl, because it is her favorite series to watch. The hardest skill for her to learn was a half out. Karissa’s favorite past time, other than trampoline and double-mini, is participating in Gamma Phi Circus at Illinois State University. Circus allows her to apply all of the skills she learned in trampoline in a new and exciting way. Karissa is a freshman at Illinois State University. Her favorite subject is Anatomy. ® CAYLA DOMAGALA, 5 Star Elite - Ringwood, IL Cayla is 14 years old. This is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, and double- mini for 6 years. After school, Cayla wants to study to be a vet. She also wants to stay in tumbling as long as she can compete or coach. Cayla would like to meet Phillip Phillips from American Idol because he is an amazingly talented musician and singer. She loves to hang out with her friends when she is not at the gym. The hardest skill for her to learn was a full. Cayla is in the 9th grade at McHenry West Campus and her favorite subjects are Math and Chorus. ® MORGANN EIDE, MAT Tumbling & Trampoline - Marshalltown, IA Morgann is 12 years old. This is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling for five years and trampoline/double-mini for three years. The skill that was the hardest for her to learn was a double pike. Morgann plans on pursuing a major in veterinary or coaching at Iowa State University. While in college, she plans on staying active in tumbling. She is very close with her parents, little sister, and grandparents, so if they are not traveling to a meet and hanging out with their MAT family, they will be doing some activities at home. They spend a lot of time outside when it is nice out and vacation to Florida with her grandparents every spring break! They are also very involved with their church and have fun going to church outings. She has had the honor of meeting one of her role models, Olympian Shawn Johnson. She would love to have the opportunity to meet her other role model, Olympian Nastia Lukin. As a 6th grade student at Aurora Heights Elementary, her favorite subjects are Science, Social Studies, and Wellness. ® KELLYN EUHUS, Wight Tumble Academy - Pecatonica, IL Kellyn is 13 years old. This is the second time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. Her favorite National Team Trip was to New York. She has been involved in tumbling, trampoline, and double-mini for 9 years. The skill that was the hardest for Kellyn to learn was a rudi out. Kellyn plans on making a career as an attorney. She has always wanted to meet the attorney, Leslie Abramson, who is famous for winning the Melendez brothers murder trial. She loves to ride her horses around her back yard and play soccer whenever she is not in the gym for tumbling or cheer. She is in the 8th grade at Byron Middle School. Her favorite subject is Social Studies. ® ILENIA HAILS, Illinois Gymnastics Club of Olney, Olney, IL Ilenia is 17 years old. This is the first time she has been a member of the USTA National Team. She has been involved in tumbling for 13 years and trampoline/double-mini for 6 years. After high school/college, Ilenia wants to own and operate a dance studio. She would like to meet Adam Sandler because he is the funniest actor ever! A double back tuck on double mini has been the hardest skill for her to learn.
