Quarter 3: July, August, September 2020 This report has been created by Recorded Music NZ for The NZ Music Commission.

The purpose of the report is to track the consumption of NZ Music consumed within NZ across various media: Streaming, Downloads, Physical formats and Radio.

Streaming • The number of streams by NZ artists streamed in NZ was up 10.7% from last quarter to 176,741,287 streams this quarter. • Overall streaming units were up 8.4% during this period to 2,164,577,979 total streams.

Single Sale Units • The number of single sale units by NZ artists purchased digitally in NZ was down 10.1% from last quarter to 20,489 units this quarter. • Overall Single Sales units were down 13.2% during this period to 175,938 total units.

Album Sales Units • The number of album sales units by NZ artists purchased digitally or physically in NZ was up 19.0% from last quarter to 17,466 units this quarter. • Overall Album Sales units were up 31.7% during this period to 111,941 total units.

Radio • Individual spins of songs by NZ artists across all radio in NZ was up 10.0% from last quarter to 363,537 spins this quarter.
