B2014 – Bachelor of /Bachelor of Course Structure (Commencing 2016) Course Requirements Students need to complete 32 units (192 points) in order to obtain their degree. The course structure has the following main components:

The Bachelor of Finance:

Part A – Foundation commerce knowledge (24 points) Part B – Finance discipline with capstone (72 points). Part C – Free elective study (48 points). These elective units may be chosen from within the Bachelor of Commerce course including units to extend your major, or to complete a second listed major or minor(s).

Bachelor of Commerce: Part A – Commerce specified study (48 points) Part B – Commerce listed major (48 points). Complete at least one commerce major listed from the Clayton campus. A major requires eight units with a maximum of 2 units at level 1 (12 points) and at least 3 units (18 points) at level 3.

Additional degree requirements:  A minimum of 24 units (144 points) must be commerce units from the Clayton campus.  A maximum of 13 units (78 points) at level 1.  A minimum of 8 units (48 points) at level 3, with at least five units (30 points) must be from the Faculty of Business and at Clayton campus.

Note that at most two units may contribute towards two majors or a major and a minor. If you intend to, or may, undertake an Honours year, you should ensure you complete the specific units required for Honours in your chosen major area of study.

Students MUST complete at least one Commerce listed major from your campus of enrolment. A major of 8 units with no more than 2 units (12p) at Level 1 and at least 3 units (18p) at Level 3.
