BAYIT SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE - POTS Partnership

The Bronx has 17 percent of New York’s population, but double that amount, 35% of all homeless families. A large number of homeless people come from and struggle to live in University Heights, the Bayit’s original home. POTS helps our homeless neigh- bors in many ways:  Food, through a walk-in dining room, where all are served with dignity  Shelter and home-base facilities  Access to internet, help with school for homeless children  An address for benefits to be sent to, help navigating government programs The Bayit is a partner to POTS, with members of our community pitching in on all levels. Registration is limited and the children will be expected to observe the appropriate hygiene, masking and distancing protocols. Each group will spend time both outdoors on the playground and indoors.
