he Quinte West region once Tagain came out in very large numbers to remember their fall- en heroes and those who fought for our freedom on Nov. 11. Still a large number of those at- tending are those very heroes or our newest heroes, the members of today’s Canadian Armed Forc- es who have travelled to foreign lands to fight for the freedom of others. Trenton Legion President Manny Raspberry noted genera- tions of heroes had populated wars from the Great War to Af- ghanistan. “This is a moment to honour their memory and strengthen our resolve as a nation and in- dividuals to live up to the ideals that they fought and died for,” he stated. Those veterans would have been happy to see their torch was being passed on, as many brave, young military members were prepared to continue battles world-wide; and young children and adults from area schools and the entire Quinte West region came out to honour the memo-
