The senior wideout has also caught passes in 24 consecutive games and has recorded 16 games with at least one touchdown grab. COLLEGIATE CLASH RETURNS: For the third year in a row the EMU football team will be taking one of its home games on the road, hosting the U.S. Naval Academy in the third annual Colle- giate Clash at Ford Field, home of the , in Detroit. EMU will be the host team for the non-conference battle with game time set for 1 p.m. Tickets for the game are $20 each. The Eagles hosted Central Michigan in the inaugural Collegiate Clash, Nov. 6, 2004, and Eastern won a thriller, 61-58, in four overtimes. Last year, EMU hosted Western Michigan, Nov. 5, 2005, and lost a 44-36 shootout.

DESLAURIERS REPEATER TO BILETNIKOFF LIST: For the second consecutive year senior wide receiver Eric Deslauriers (Gatineau, Quebec, Ontario, Canada-Lennoxville College Prep) has been named to the Fred Biletnikoff Award Watch List for the 2006 football season. The award is named for Fred Biletnikoff, who was an All-American receiver at Florida State University and went on to enjoy an outstanding professional career with the then-Oakland Raiders. Biletnikoff has been elected to both the and Pro Football Halls of Fame. Deslauriers entered the 2006 season as the second-ranked returning receiver in the nation with 174 career receptions, trailing only Houston’s Vincent Marshall who had 192 entering 2006. Deslauriers has started the season on the right foot, with 16 catches for 182 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games.
