May 10th is Indigenous Peoples Day at New Norway School. Our Camrose Aquatic Centre: Spring and Summer Day Camp group will travel to Ermineskin School for breakfast with their Schedules (see pages 11-13) leadership team and a tour of the school. The Erminskin Dancers will perform at New Norway School before lunch and we ——————— will all participate in some aboriginal games followed by a BRSD Ward Boundary presentation from an Elder. As you can see, our visitors will have a very busy but exciting ——————— schedule in our aim to have them experience as much of our culture as possible. Mom's Pantry was a great fundraiser for our graduates!

Thanks to all who supported our Grads by purchasing Mom's Pantry products! The New Norway Graduation Ceremony is at 7:00 pm on May 3rd at the Silver Creek Multiplex.

Everyone is welcome to attend!

This year Mrs. Schielke has ordered free comic books for New Norway School students from grades 4-9!

The special day is a Saturday and we are not allowed to give out the comic books before that date so we will celebrate the day on Monday, May 6th.

If students want to dress up in appropriate comic book character attire that would be great!!! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held on May 13th and 14th!

The library will be open from 8:30am until 4:00pm both days.

Thank you for supporting our school by buying books.

The book fair always has a great selection of books and craft items. Any money earned from the book fair buys new books for our School library. Mrs. Schielke

Our Jr Badminton season has concluded and we congratulate Ariana L. on her bronze medal finish at the BRJHAA Regional Competition! Congrats also to all of our Jr Badminton athletes.

Three Sr Badminton players have qualified for ASAA Central Zone Competition through their first two competitions. Congratulations to Connor P., Carson O. and Maria N. who will move on to Zone Competition on Monday, April 29th. We had strong finishes by Chloe P., Ethan S., Dallas B.,Dayton E., Lisa V. and all other competitors.

Looking for a place your child can attend on out of school days to keep them active, entertained and safe? Join us in our program designed for full time school kids’ ages 6 to 12 years old. During the pro- gram the kids will go on adventures (weather pending) make crafts, play games, and on selected days go skating or sledding. The program will run out of the Camrose Recreation Centre from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This program follows the Battle River non-student days and will run on the following dates…

OUT OF SCHOOL SUMMER DAY CAMP

Looking for fun, supervised activities for your child this summer? Register for the Summer Day Camp at the Aquatic Centre! The camps run weekly from Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; the camp will begin on July 2nd and run until August 23rd. This program enjoy games, crafts, field trips, and swimming. Please note there will be NO program running the week of August 5-9.

Discovery Kids program is for kids ages 8-14 years. This program must be registered per week only. They en- joy indoor and outdoor activities, swim on a regular basis and go on a predetermined destination field trip each week, see below for the weekly field trips.
