WE ARE ALL THE CHRIST Transcript for the What is the Christ video by Bill Free

Hello friends! Namaste. My name is Bill Free. Thank you for joining me on my monthly blog today.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a video blog. I recently had knee surgery. I had knee replacement surgery on my left knee. I’m happy to be back and joined with you in this way.

We’re in the middle of winter here in Maine. What you see behind me is a river that divides Maine from New Hampshire. That’s New Hampshire across the water right there. It’s a few days before Christmas which is why I want to talk about our brother .

This is the time of year where the world really brings recognition to Jesus as savior of the world. The Christian tradition would have you feel that he’s God’s son and the only son. I want to talk to you a little bit about what says about that.

The truth of the matter is that we are all what Jesus is. He was the first one to really show the way. He’s a way-shower of the truth that we are all God’s sons. We are all the Christ.

That was his message two thousand years ago and thankfully that was true even though it got messed up a little bit. They sort of personified him as being super special. In my mind he was super special but just in that he understood our true relationship with God. He understood. He was raised as an Ascene by parents who were waiting for the one that knew the truth - the one that knew the truth for all of us. It was and is Jesus.

Jesus, the Christ, was the first one to do his part perfectly. All of his disciples didn't quite understand what his message was. I feel that a few of them did and for sure Mary Magdalene did. We have some new information from the Nag Hammadi Library that surfaced in 1945 telling us that there were other Gospels. There were other hidden or buried writings found that have a different kind of a story about who Jesus was and what the message of truth really is.

During this time in 2016, we’re just a few days away from Christmas and I’m going to share with you what A Course in Miracles says about the Christ.

What is the Christ?

There’s a section in the Manual for Teachers under the Clarification of Terms that talks about Jesus Christ. There’s also a section in the workbook of A Course in Miracles that talks about “What is the Christ?” WE ARE ALL THE CHRIST

ACIM says this about “What is the Christ?”:

“Christ is God’s son as he created Him. He is the Self we share uniting us with one another and with God as well. He is the thought which still abides within the mind that is his source. He has not left his holy home nor lost the innocence in which he was created. He abides unchanged forever in the mind of God. Christ is the link that keeps you one with God and guarantees that separation is no more than an illusion of despair for hope forever will abide in Him.”

Even thought modern Christianity got it wrong (and I followed that for over twenty years), the good news is that it’s better than what we thought. It’s way better than what we thought!

None of this is actually real. This is but an illusion that we made up. We are what God is. We made up this whole world of time and space. A Course in Miracles is our source for better information.

The information in ACIM is better information than what the disciples had, even though they were right there with Jesus. A Course in Miracles came about in 1965, within the last fifty years. It came from the consciousness of Jesus the Christ through Helen Schucman to be given to us in this generation of time. She and her colleague, , took the assignment so that we could really know the truth that sets us free.

I actually love this time of the year even though it’s the wrong message of Jesus. The world mostly believes that Jesus is the savior of the world, and in a way he is. He’s the way-shower of the world.

Through A Course in Miracles and many other traditions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sufism, there are many path’s to God. This is just one of them. The reason it rings true to me is because of my Christian background, although I also love the Eastern tradition of the Advaita Vedanta. I follow Mooji and Rupert Spira through the non-dualistic teachings of Advaita.

At the Teachers of God Foundation we teach A Course in Miracles. This is where we train the mind to hold a new perception about everything in the world. We train the mind how to see the world with the true message of Jesus Christ, with Christ vision, true forgiveness, and a recognition that what we thought our brother did never occurred. That’s the message of true forgiveness that Jesus offers in ACIM.

What it says about Jesus in the Clarification of Terms in A Course in Miracles is just amazing. There’s two pages about what ACIM says about Jesus. I’m just going to read one paragraph.

“Is he the Christ? Oh yes, along with you. His little life on Earth was not enough to teach the mighty lesson that he learned. He will remain with you to lead you from the hell you made to WE ARE ALL THE CHRIST

God and when you join your will with his (talking about Jesus) your sight will be his vision, for the eyes of Christ are shared.”

Even though his physical body died two thousand years ago, our brother Jesus is right here helping us every step of the way. All we have to do is just say, “Jesus, I need some help here”, and he’s right here with us. He’s right here to take our hand.

Another thing ACIM says is that he’s right here helping us every step of the way.

ACIM says,

“And when you join your will with His, your sight will be His vision for the eyes of Christ are shared. Walking with Him is just as natural as walking with a brother whom you knew since you were born. For such indeed, He is. Some bitter idols have been made of Him who would be only idol to the world. Forgive Him your illusions and behold how dear a brother would be to you for He will set your mind at rest at last and carry it with you unto your God.”

I just love this message. It’s changed everything in my life.

There are songs that we hear in the department stores during the Christmas season such as “Joy to the World”. I invite you to reframe these songs.

“Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Let Earth receive Her king.”

When you hear this song, reframe it as “Joy to the world, the Lord (meaning you) has come.” The Christ of you has come and is birthed in you in recognition of the truth. Earth, i.e. your person self, now has an understanding that you are the Christ. You are what Jesus is. You are the message that he was sharing with the disciples two thousand years ago. That message is for all of us.

I want to invite you to bring this season and 2017 in with a whole new way of seeing Christmas time even though it’s commercialized and almost nothing about the message that he had two thousand years ago. You can see it with different eyes.

If you have a situation where you’re troubled by anything, ask Jesus for help.

In your heart, say, “Jesus, I need a hand with this. Would you give me a hand with this? I don’t quite understand this.”

He will show up. His consciousness will show up and will lead you to the answer you’re looking for. WE ARE ALL THE CHRIST

If you haven't done A Course in Miracles or if you haven't done the workbook lessons, the Teachers of God Foundation has a program that we offer. It starts January 1st. You can take it any time of the year but most people like to start January 1st. The workbook lessons are called ACIM 365 and you can find it on our website at teachersofgod.org. Lisa Natoli, my wife, guides it and is an amazing teacher who does a great job of commentary. She’s not a substitute for the workbook lessons, but she’s there to help you go through it. She’s right there for you to give you some insight.

Thank you for joining me on my monthly blog. I want to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Have a wonderful transition into 2017. I’ll see you next year!

Bless you. I love you. I thank God for you.
