Dear Colleagues, I enclose some information on the various community and voluntary sector responses to support older and vulnerable people during the very difficult and challenging times caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Please encourage older people to contact these services if they are in need of help and support and have practical needs such as shopping and medicines collections and please share this information widely across the networks. If you have any other details of local community and voluntary sector initiatives to support vulnerable older people at this time please let me know so I can also share the information with others.

Good Morning Newtownabbey have extended their operating hours and have a new team of volunteers helping out. They are also assisting with collecting shopping and prescriptions where possible. They are open to new referrals – if you can think of any vulnerable people who could benefit from their support please ask them to phone and self refer to the service.
