About the Artists

Michael J. Alworth- Bass-Baritone, is a graduate of Montclair State University with a degree in Vocal Performance. He is an active performer in the Montclair area of musical theatre (Equity Membership Candidate) and . Recent credits have included Bass soloist (Beethoven’s Mass in C), Theo (Midnight Madness), Caiaphas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Bass soloist (Mozart’s Requiem), Baritone Soloist (Alzheimer’s Stories), and Frank (Die Fledermaus). Michael is also a private voice and piano instructor, maintaining a studio of over 20 students at the Modern Music Academy in Caldwell, NJ. Michael serves as a cantor at Our Lady of the Lake Church.

Henry F. Gehman- Pianist/Organist, serves as Director of Music at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Director of Music at the historic Trinity and St. Philip’s Episcopal Cathedral in Newark, NJ as well as the Assistant Organist at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany, NJ. He also served as the music teacher at St. Peter Catholic School in Belleville, NJ for seven years. Henry earned the Bachelor of Music Education Degree, Magna Cum Laude from Westminster Choir College of Rider University where he studied piano with Lillian Livingston and Dr. Thomas J. Parente. He has also studied organ with David Fedor and Ken Cowan and holds the Colleague Certificate from The American Guild of Organists.
