MICHAEL WEBSTER was born in 1944 and became an honorary Jew in 1969. He is Professor of Music at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and Artistic Director of the award-winning Houston Youth Symphony. He spent 20 years as Principal Clarinet of the Rochester Philharmonic and one as Acting Principal Clarinet of the San Francisco Symphony. He loves lox and bagels, but actually doesn’t like licorice.

Australian soprano, SUSAN LORETTE DUNN, is Artist Teacher of Voice at the Shepherd School of Music and wife of the famous Jewish conductor, Larry Rachleff. Her fourth great grandfather, Aaron Barnett Phillips, was a famous Jewish mechanist at Covent Garden and Drury Lane; he also de- signed an ark for Torah scrolls in Sydney’s Great Synagogue. At the tender age of 23, Miss Dunn made her debut with Opera Australia as Tzietel in Fid- dler on the Roof.

CHRISTOPHER JANWONG MCKIGGAN is a DMA piano student of Jon Kimura Parker. He will celebrate Super Bowl Sunday by releasing his solo CD, Paganimania, on Albany Records. He loves bagels but has never tried lox or licorice.

MICHAEL STUBBART, a percussionist and timpanist, is a MM student of Richard Brown, specializing in the style of Gene Krupa. He has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Hawaii Sympho- ny Orchestra, and West Virginia Symphony.

CARSON MARSHALL, a BM violin student of Paul Kantor, happens to love licorice, and anything involving lox or bagels.

JACQUELINE KITZMILLER, a BM violin student of Paul Kantor, loves bagels with or without lox, but could take or leave licorice.

Violist JILL VALENTINE is a MM student of Ivo-Jan van der Werff. When she isn’t playing or teaching music, she is probably traveling, writing a letter or enjoying a cup of tea, with or without a bagel.

BENJAMIN STOEHR is a MM cello student of Brinton Smith at the Shep- herd School. Ben is neutral on lox and licorice, but would never turn down a pizza. SUPPORT STAFF
