Minutes of the meeting of Treflys Council held on Thursday 19th August at 8:30pm.

Present Hugh James (Chairman), Tom Evans (Vice Chairman), Estyn James, Chris Fairhurst, Ian Powell, Mike Thomas (clerk) 1. Apologies Graham Davies 2. Confirmation of Minutes The minutes of the last meeting were read, confirmed and signed as a true and accurate record. 3. Matters Arising Len Elliot has informed the clerk that Dyfed Policy had contacted him today that there would not be any traffic calming in Beulah as it is a 40mph speed limit. It would have to be reduced to 30mph. However, they now will have their surveillance in place in the near future.

4. Correspondence The annual return and governance statement for the year ending 31st March 2019 had been certified by Grant Thornton UK LLP and an unqualified audit report issued. Grant Thornton wished to draw attention to the high level of reserves of 1.8 times the annual precept. The council agreed that in times when Powys C.C are having their budget cut they were surprised at the Auditors comments and thought the general reserves were important for any projects that may arise. 5. Business i) Graham had now moved from Beulah to but as he has land owned in Beulah, he is still entitled to stay on the Treflys Community Council. The council were unanimous in agreeing to this.

ii) Chris Fairhurst informed the council that he had now accepted the position of school Governor on behalf of Treflys C.C.

iii) It was decided to invite the MP for and Radnor to the next meeting.

iv) Hugh James informed the council there was an issue with a right of way at Dolaeron which he had now resolved.
