It has been recognised as a model export promotion council by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. EEPC India is the premier trade and investment promotion organisation in India. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and caters to the Indian engineering sector. It has many firsts to its credit – the first Indian export promotion council to have a website, to be ISO certified, to have a mobile app, to have an in-house Technology Centre and also to e-catalogue product profiles. As an advisory body, it actively contributes to the policies of the Gov- ernment of India and acts a prime conduit between the Indian engineering fraternity and the Government of India. Set up in 1955, EEPC India now has a membership base of over 13,000, with over 60 percent from the MSME segment. EEPC India has been a catalyst of Indian engineering exports by participating and organ- ising year-long promotional activities, including buyer-seller meets (BSM), both in India and abroad, managing India Pavilions and information booths in select overseas exhibitions to demonstrate the capabilities of the Indian engineering industry. EEPC India also organises its own overseas exhibition – INDEE ( Indian Engineering Exhibition) and its domestic counterpart – IESS (International Engineering Sourcing Show). INDEE, since its inception in Singapore, has completed 41 years this year, covering 27 countries across six continents. IESS is the largest engineering rendition on Indian soil and the only Indian engineering sourcing show that showcases the latest technologies and is a preferred meeting place for global buyers and sellers. This show also en- courages foreign investments in line with the newly-initiated ‘Make in India’. EEPC India also publishes several reports and studies, catalogues, newsletters and magazines to keep members abreast of policies and also as a means to market Indian engineering globally. An Utkrisht Vidyalaya (KG/Anganwadi-VIII) has also been developed in each Gram Panchayat under the mentorship of Adarsh school to ensure quality school coverage for other villages in the Gram Panchayat. Panchayat Elementary Education Officer- Principals of Adarsh school have been designated as ex-officio Panchayat Elementary Education Officer (PEEO) to provide leadership and mentorship to all other government elementary schools in the Gram Panchayat. These PEEOs have been designated as Cluster Resource Centre Facilitator (CRCF) for effective monitoring. Integration of Anganwadi centers with schools- Around 38000 Anganwadi centers have been integrated with schools having primary sections for improving pre-primary education under ECCE program of ICDS.

Tulsi Vivah is conducted on the day after Kartik Ekadashi (the eleventh bright day of the new moon, Amavasya). According to Hindu mythology, Devi Tulsi is ceremonially married to Lord Vishnu on this day. The festival continues for five days and concludes on the full moon day of Purnima..
