Abstract: This report recommends that the Committee notes the applications detailed in Appendix 1 of the report granted by the Director of Planning & Transport in accordance with the Scheme of Delegation detailed in Standing Orders.

1.0 RECOMMENDATION

1.1 The Committee is asked to note the applications, detailed in the Appendix, granted approval under delegated powers.

2.0 INTRODUCTION

2.1 In terms of the Scheme of Delegation to officers, the Director of Planning & Transport is authorised to approve planning applications in accordance with the Development Plan, the Local Plans or established policies and where there are no objections, except those which raise a general issue affecting a large area, or are of major land or economic development significance.

3.0 APPROVALS

3.1 Attached as an Appendix is a list of applications granted under delegated authority during the period 9 June 2004 to 7 July 2004.

4.0 FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

4.1 There are no financial implications.

5.0 HUMAN RIGHTS IMPLICATIONS

5.1 There are no Human Rights issues arising directly as a result of this report.

10 That before development commences protective fencing in accordance with BS 5837: 1991, Section 8.2.2. shall be erected around all trees to be retained, to enclose at least the protected rooting zones hatched on the approved plans. This fencing should remain in situ until development is completed and there shall be no passage of vehicles; excavations; storage of soil, plant, vehicles or other materials within the protective fencing.

11 That the route of any public utilities or other excavations that may affect the trees to be retained or planted, be agreed with the Director of Planning & Transport prior to any excavations being undertaken.
