He was named to the 2001 USILA North-South Senior Assistant Coach: J.P. Brazel (Bra-zel) All-Star Game where he captured the Most Valuable Player Assistant Coach: John Gorman (Gor-min) award. During his Hofstra career, he tallied 95 goals and 44 assists for 139 points, a school-record 450 ground balls while winning 528 of 868 face-offs for a .608 winning percentage. ROYLE-SOMBROTTO LOCKER ROOM: The Hofstra Men’s Lacrosse Locker Room was officially dedicated before the Pride’s game against Delaware on April 12, 2008. The Harry Royle-Vincent Sombrotto Pride Locker Room, named in honor of former Hofstra Lacrosse Coach Harry Royle and former Pride All-American and National Lacrosse Hall of Fame member Vincent Sombrotto, was made possible by a generous gift from James Metzger, a former teammate of Sombrotto and a standout player under Coach Royle.
