Scott A. McGregor President and Chief Executive Officer Member of the Board of Directors

Scott McGregor serves as Broadcom’s President and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he is responsible for guiding the vision and direction for the company's corporate strategy. Since joining Broadcom in 2005, the company has expanded from $2.40 billion in revenue and 3,250 employees to $8.01 billion in 2012 revenue and 12,050 employees. Broadcom’s geographic footprint has grown from 13 countries in 2005 to 24 and its patent portfolio has expanded from 4,800 U.S. and foreign patents and applications to more than 19,850.

Mr. McGregor joined Broadcom from Philips Semiconductors (now NXP Semiconductors) where he served as President and CEO from 2001 to 2004. He joined Philips in 1998 and rose through a series of leadership positions. Prior to joining Philips, Mr. McGregor served in a range of senior management positions at Santa Cruz Operation Inc. (SCO), a provider of open systems software. He also served in senior positions at Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of HP) and , where he was Director of the Interactive Systems Group and architect and development team leader for the original version of Microsoft Windows®. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. McGregor worked at Xerox Corporation's Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), where he was involved in designing software for the first personal computers employing graphical user interfaces.

Mr. McGregor received a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Stanford University. He serves on the board of Ingram Micro, on the Engineering Advisory Council for Stanford University and also is President of Broadcom Foundation. Most recently, Mr. McGregor received UCLA’s 2013 IS Executive Leadership Award.

Henry Samueli, Ph.D. Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer Chairman of the Board

Dr. Henry Samueli is Broadcom’s Co-Founder and serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Technical Officer. In this role, he is responsible for driving the vision of Broadcom's research and development activities as well as helping to lead corporate-wide engineering development strategies.

Dr. Samueli has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of communications systems engineering and digital signal processing. In 1985 he began serving as a professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he has supervised advanced research programs in broadband communications circuits and digital signal processing and he has published more than 100 technical papers in these areas. He has been on a leave of absence from UCLA since 1995. Dr. Samueli is also a Distinguished Adjunct Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He was the Chief Scientist and one of the founders of PairGain Technologies, Inc., a telecommunications equipment manufacturer, and consulted for PairGain from 1988 to 1994. From 1980 until 1985, Dr. Samueli served in a variety of engineering management positions in the Electronics and Technology Division of TRW, Inc., where he was responsible for the development of military broadband communications systems.

Dr. Samueli received a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. He is a named inventor in 73 U.S. patents. In 2012 Dr. Samueli was awarded the Marconi Society Prize and Fellowship and in 2011 the Global Semiconductor Alliance named him the winner of the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering.

Eric K. Brandt Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Eric Brandt serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he is responsible for managing Broadcom’s financial, information technology and corporate services organizations. For the last three years, he was named one of the "Best CFOs in America — Semiconductors" by Institutional Investor and was #1 in the 2011 and 2013 rankings. In addition, he was honored for "2012 Best Investor Relations by a CFO" and "2013 Grand Prix for Best Overall Investor Relations Program" (all industries from $2B – $20B market cap) and received the "2013 Sector Award for Technology" (mid and small cap) by Investor Relations.

Mr. Brandt joined Broadcom in 2007 after serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avanir Pharmaceuticals, a developer of novel therapeutic products for the treatment of chronic disease. Prior to joining Avanir, he served as Executive Vice President of Finance and Technical Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Allergan Inc., a global specialty pharmaceutical and medical device company. While at Allergan, Mr. Brandt was twice named one of the "Best CFOs in America — #1 in Specialty Pharmaceuticals" by Institutional Investor. Mr. Brandt joined Allergan after nearly a decade with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global business consulting firm. He served as Vice President and Partner and as a senior member of the firm’s health care practice. While at BCG he also led the North American operations practice.

Mr. Brandt currently serves on the boards of Broadcom Foundation, Dentsply International, Inc. and Lam Research, Inc. He received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Arthur Chong Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Arthur Chong serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In this role, he is responsible for the company's legal, governance and litigation activities and directs the work of inside and outside legal counsel. As a result of Mr. Chong’s excellence in promoting diversity, in 2013 Broadcom was recognized by National Law Journal as having the best in house legal department in Southern California for diversity.

Mr. Chong is a seasoned corporate attorney with more than 30 years of experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, finance, securities law and litigation. He joined Broadcom in 2008 after serving since 2005 as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Safeco Corporation, a property and casualty insurance company. Prior to joining Safeco, he served for more than 20 years at McKesson Corporation, a health care services and information technology company based in San Francisco, in a number of legal and management roles including Deputy General Counsel. Mr. Chong received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Michael Hurlston Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Michael Hurlston serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales. In this role, he is responsible for delivering transformative communications technologies to Broadcom’s most important customers around the world. He is also charged with driving partner, channel and business development operations to continue to expand Broadcom’s footprint in emerging growth markets.

Prior to being promoted to his current position in April 2013, Mr. Hurlston progressed in a range of leadership positions at Broadcom including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Wireless LAN and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Wireless Connectivity Combo. He is credited with leading the expansion and diversification of Broadcom’s WLAN business from a single segment technology (PC) to the multiple segments Broadcom participates in today — mobile, entertainment, access points, printing, gaming and embedded. Mr. Hurlston also expanded Broadcom’s offerings in strategic growth markets including Near Field Communication (NFC), where Broadcom is the market leader and driving key market transitions including growth of the IEEE standard 802.11ac and Broadcom’s powerful presence with 5G WiFi.

Prior to joining Broadcom in 2001, Mr. Hurlston served as Vice President of Marketing at Radia Communications, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company that was later acquired by . He previously held a variety of senior marketing and engineering positions at Oren Semiconductor, Avasem, Integrated Circuit Systems, Micro Power Systems, Exar and IC Works.

Neil Y. Kim Executive Vice President, Operations and Central Engineering

Neil Kim serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President, Operations and Central Engineering. In this role, he is responsible for all manufacturing activities including foundry operations and supply chain management. Under his leadership, Broadcom ships nearly 2 billion chips per year. Mr. Kim is also responsible for the development of analog mixed-signal and wired radio frequency (RF) technologies, manufacturing engineering and Broadcom's library of core technologies including process technology direction, electronic design automation (EDA) and corporate quality assurance.

Mr. Kim joined Broadcom in 2000 and has held a variety of senior management positions including Senior Vice President and Vice President of Central Engineering and Senior Vice President of Operations and Engineering.

Prior to Broadcom, he held a series of progressively senior technical and management positions at Western Digital Corporation, a data storage manufacturer, most recently serving as Vice President of Engineering.

Mr. Kim is on the board of the Global Semiconductor Association. He received a B.S.E.E. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Daniel A. Marotta Executive Vice President and General Manager Broadband Communications Group

Dan Marotta serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Broadband Communications Group (BCG). In this role, he is responsible for driving the company's vision to enable broadband services to and throughout the home, with end products and end markets focused on providing complete solutions for cable, satellite and telecom service providers. Products from this group are found in cable, fiber to the home (FTTH) and DSL modems and gateways; digital cable, IP and satellite set-top boxes; cable modem termination systems (CMTS) used by cable providers; and DSL access multiplexers and optical line terminators used by telecom service providers.

Mr. Marotta joined Broadcom in 2002 after serving in various senior management positions at Conexant Systems, Inc., a semiconductor manufacturer. Prior to joining Conexant, Mr. Marotta served as Director of Engineering at Brooktree Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer and Vice President of Engineering at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, following Rockwell Semiconductor's acquisition of Brooktree.

Mr. Marotta received a B.S.E.E. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Rajiv Ramaswami, Ph.D. Executive Vice President and General Manager Infrastructure & Networking Group

Rajiv Ramaswami serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Infrastructure & Networking Group (ING). In this role, he is responsible for all Ethernet controller, switching and physical layer products, optical solutions, storage products, security and embedded processors. ING’s products and technologies are targeted at enterprise, service provider and data center markets. Products offered by this group include Ethernet controllers for notebooks, desktops and servers, physical layer devices for copper, optical and microwave links, switches and embedded processors for Layer 2 to Layer 7 switches, routers and security appliances — equipment that delivers and manages the flow of voice, video and data services within and across networks.

Mr. Ramaswami joined Broadcom in 2010 after serving as Vice President and General Manager of the Cloud Services and Switching Technology Group at Cisco Systems, Inc., where he also served as Vice President and General Manager for a variety of business units in Optical, Switching and Storage Networking.

Prior to joining Cisco, he served in various technical and leadership positions at Xros, Tellabs and IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center.

Mr. Ramaswami holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a B. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras. He holds 34 U.S. patents primarily in optical networking and has coauthored a textbook, "Optical Networks: A Practical Perspective." He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Distinguished Alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology.

Robert A. Rango Executive Vice President and General Manager Mobile & Wireless Group

Robert Rango serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile & Wireless Group (MWG). In this role, he is responsible for leading wireless opportunities and innovations for the home, business and mobile markets. MWG includes Broadcom's cellular baseband, mobile multimedia, application processor, power management, Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, GPS, Near Field Communication (NFC) and Voice over IP (VoIP) products. Broadcom's wireless connectivity and mobile solutions can be found in a range of devices including mobile handsets, notebook/netbooks/desktop computers, tablets, IP phones, home gateways and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics and peripherals. The group provides end-to-end solutions, including critical software to support new applications for many high-volume end markets.

Mr. Rango joined Broadcom in 2002 and has served as Vice President and General Manager of the Network Infrastructure business unit, Vice President and General Manager of the Mobile and Wireless business unit, Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President and General Manager, Wireless Connectivity Group.

Prior to joining Broadcom, Mr. Rango held several senior leadership positions at Lucent Microelectronics, a networking communications company and Agere Systems, a semiconductor manufacturer, in its optical access, new business initiatives and modem/multimedia divisions. He also held various positions with AT&T Bell Labs.

Mr. Rango received a B.S.E.E. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a M.S.E.E. from Cornell University.

Terri Timberman Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources

Terri Timberman serves as Broadcom’s Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources. In this role, she is responsible for managing and leading Broadcom's HR and administration functions, including organizational development, employee relations, employee training and development, compensation and benefits, and recruiting and retention strategies. She also leads HR strategy for acquisitions and integration programs.

Ms. Timberman is an HR industry leader with more than 30 years of experience in innovative organizational design, development and strategic planning. She joined Broadcom in March 2009 after serving in senior HR positions at Planar Systems, Inc., AMI Semiconductor, Inc., Radisys Corporation, , , Inc. and TriQuint Semiconductors.

Ms. Timberman serves on the Boards of Directors of Broadcom Foundation and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME), and is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum of (ALFO). She is also the executive sponsor for Broadcom’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy and Employee Engagement Group program that includes the Broadcom Women’s Network, the Multi-cultural Network and the Aware Network.
