ALBERTA SULPHUR TERMINALS LTD. APPLICATION TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A SULPHUR FORMING AND SHIPPING FACILITY NRCB APPLICATION NO. 0702 ENVIRONMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT ACT APPLICATION NO. 001-227584 WATER ACT FILE NO. 00240288 AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT

TAKE NOTICE that Alberta Sulphur Terminals Ltd. (AST) has applied to the Natural Resources Conservation Board (NRCB) and Alberta Environment (AENV) for approval to construct and operate a Sulphur Forming and Shipping Facility, in Bruderheim Alberta (the Proposal). The proposed site is located approximately 2.2 km east of Bruderheim, Alberta, in the Industrial Heartland area of Lamont County.

NATURE OF APPLICATION In support of the Proposal, AST has prepared and submitted Application No. 001-227584 to AENV under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA) for the construction, operation and reclamation of the proposed Sulphur Forming and Shipping Facility and File No. 00240288 under the Water Act (WA) for the water management aspect of the Proposal. AST has also prepared and submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report to Alberta Environment (AENV), which forms part of AST’s application to the NRCB.

FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that under Section 73 of the EPEA, and Section 109 of the WA any person directly affected by the application may submit a written statement of concern to:

Statements of concern under EPEA and the WA must be submitted on or before October 22, 2007.
