DFW Soccer Community coming together on November 28th to celebrate local soccer!

Matchday One Kicks-off Winter Season on Saturday, November 28th with Four Games

From local soccer legends to professional players returning to DFW in between their pro seasons to top local semi-pro players and teams to elite college players home for extended Winter Break; local soccer fans will have an opportunity to see top tier soccer this Winter in an intimate setting in , Denton & Fort Worth starting Saturday, November 28th through January 9th.

2pm Denton Doubleheader at Texas Woman’s University Soccer Stadium + Defending Roja League Champions Estudiantes kicks off The Roja League Invierno on Saturday at 2pm against local semi-pro UPSL powerhouse Foro 360 PRO. Estudiantes returns a strong core group of college players, including a pair of dynamic players from Midwestern State University (Sr) Julian Barajas and (Sr) Carlos Flores and (Jr) Nick Taylor from SMU. Foro 360 PRO who finished as a UPSL National Finalist in February features top professional players including former MLS player Michel, USL1 MVP Arturo Rodriguez from SC and Mesquite Outlaws Jamie Lovegrove + The second match of the Doubleheader features US OPEN CUP qualifier, NPSL team Denton Diablos, led by new head coach Ramon Raya, taking on UPSL 2020 Conference Champion FC Harrington. Diablos feature San Antonio FC Hayden Partain, younger brother Tulsa soccer alumni Harris Partain and former West Ham United player Eoin Wearan while FC Harrington features former Youth National team Players DJ Williams, Cesar Garcia, Kevin Bonilla and Carson Williams + Texas Woman’s University has a limited capacity of 250 fans and will provide concessions and a Beer Garden for fans. 1 Ticket for 2 games. + Both Games will be digitally broadcast through Facebook LIVE on the Denton Diablos Facebook Page.

3pm Texas Wesleyan University Martin Field + Defending NPSL Lone Conference Champion & US OPEN CUP qualifier, Fort Worth Vaqueros will host NPSL expansion side Irving FC. Vaqueros return a solid core group of players with some exciting new faces that includes captain and fan favorite Rio Ramirez, Trinidad & Tobago National team player Darren Mitchell and former Las Vegas Lights (USL Championship) defender juan Herrera while Irving FC will have veteran GK captain Noah Fazekas, Midwestern University Mark Alvarado and 2020 DMN High School Offensive Player of the Year Felipe Medina + Texas Wesleyan University has a limited capacity of 250 fans. Fans are encouraged to bring their own food, beverages & chairs to sit in socially distanced pods. + Game will be digitally broadcast through Facebook LIVE on Fort Worth Vaqueros Facebook Page.

7:30pm Fort Worth Polytech High School + Fort Worth Inocentes who finished first place in The Roja League regular season before losing in the playoffs to Denton Diablos host new kids on the block Premier Legends made up of college players who played their club soccer for the FC Dallas Academy and FC Dallas Premier teams. This talented team features two former Youth National Team Players, Jaden Servania (Puerto Rico U20) and Julian Hinojosa (Mexico/USA Youth National Teams). While Inocentes FC returns with an experienced roster featuring prolific striker Anthony Powell and North Texas SC (USL 1) Raul Fierro and Mesquite Outlaws/North Texas SC Oscar Romero.

The Roja League Invierno features 8 teams including two teams made up of 100% College Players home for break, 3 NPSL Teams and 3 UPSL Teams. Every team will play seven games in a balanced schedule with the top four teams qualifying for TRL Invierno playoffs in early January. On January 9th, 2021 The Roja League Invierno will crown it’s Winter Champion.
