Rail Cargo Group / Corporate Presentation (status: July 2021) Climate protection

The rail freight services that we and our partners handle within and across Austria save more than 1 million tonnes of CO2 per year in Europe.. You would have to plant a forest one third of the size of Vorarlberg (867 km2) in order to absorb this amount of CO2.

Rail freight transport in Austria releases 40 times less CO2 to the environment than road transport. (Values valid in Austria for a truck with average load.)
