Issue No.151 November 2017 Police Command, Khasab Police Station
His Excellency General Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Nuamani, Minister of the Royal OfÀce accom- panied by His Excellency Lt Gen Hassan bin Muhsin Al-Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs opened the Musandam Governorate Police Command and Khasab police sta- tion on 19 Sept 2017 in a ceremony held in Khasb town. A batch of new police cadets were 4 passed out in the same event attended by their excellency, commanders of the Sultan Armed Forces corpses, senior police and security ofÀcers, sheikhs, elders and citizens. The ceremony began with a salute to His Excellency the chief guest, and he inspected the front line of the parade. Then the parade marched in front of the grandstand. His Excellency gave out trophies to the top graduates. The parade chanted the ROP anthem, and proclaimed thrice long live His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commandor. Issue No.151 November 2017 Accompanied by His Excellency the Inspector General, Gen Al-Numani unveiled the traditional curtain as an ofÀcial opening of the Musandam Police Command. Then they toured the sections of the complex, which includes a police station, administrative sections, multi-purpose halls, forensic science laboratory, police services of trafÀc, passports and residence and civil status. It includes also parading and training ground, playÀelds, swimming pool, indoor sports facilities, clinic and 5 residential apartments for ofÀcers and other ranks. ROP News Issue No.151 November 2017
6 Inspector General Meets Police Leaders
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Musandam Governorate Police Command on 19 Sept 2017 His Excellency Lt Gen Hassan bin Muhsin Al-Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs met the Royal Oman Police leaders. He overviewed with them the efforts of improvement in all areas including the training of the ROP personnel, the services provided to the public as well as the available capabilities. ROP Opens Services Building in Dhofar, Mirbat Police Station Issue No.151 November 2017
The police services building in Dhofar Governorate and Mirbat police station on were opened on 25 / 7 / 2017 in a ceremony held under the auspices of His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Omer Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, and in the presence of His Excellency Lt Gen 8 Hassan bin Muhsin Al-Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs. The chief guest was saluted by the parade, which made marches in front of the grandstand. Then he gave out trophies to the top graduates, and ofÀcially opened the building when he unveiled the commemorative plaque.
The police station consists of administrative ofÀces, meeting and other multipurpose rooms, Issue No.151 November 2017 parading and training ground, playÀelds, swimming pool, indoor exercising facilities, residen- tial apartments for ofÀcers and other ranks. Al-Buraimi Police Command Opened Issue No.151 November 2017
On 20 Aug 2017 the police command of Al Buraimi Governorate was opened in a ceremony held in Al Buraimi under the auspices of His Excellency Sayed Hamoud bin Faisal Albusaidi, Minister of Interior and attended by His Excellency Lt Gen Hassan bin Muhsin Al-Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police 10 and Customs. A batch of new police cadets passed was out in the same event, which was also at- tended by their excellency, senior police and security ofÀcers, shaikhs, elders and citizens. His Excellency the chief guest received salute from the graduates parade, inspected the front line of the parade and gave out trophies to the top graduates. ROP Signs Customs Cooperation Agreements with Key Ministries
ROP recently signed customs cooperation pro- gramme with some key ministries in Oman to streamline, accelerate procedures, enhance trade and boost cooperation with government organiza- tions. The programme includes the issuance of licences, permits, releasing of goods, and other procedures regarding each of these organizations. Major General Sulaiman bin Mohamed Al-Harthy, Assist. Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Ànancial Affairs signed on behalf of Royal Oman Police at the ROP Head- quarters, while each one of the other parties was represented by the respective undersecretary.
The programme was Àrst signed on 9 / 10 / 2017 with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry rep- resented by HE Engineer, Ahmed Bin Hassan Ad- dheeb, Undersecretary of Commerce and Industry. On the same day, HE Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al- Bakry, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish Resources for Agriculture signed on be- half of his ministry.
On 29 / 10 / 2017 the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs signed the programme represented by the Undersecretary HE Najeeb bin Ali Al-Ra- wass.
Both the Ministry of Transport and Communica- tions and the Public Authority for Craft Industries signed the programme with ROP on 8 / 11 / 2017. They were represented respectively by HE Said bin Hamdoon Al-Harthy, Undersecretary of Trans- port and Communications, and HE Dr. Isam bin Ali Al-Rawass, Deputy President of the Public Author- ity of Craft Industries.

Services Building Opened in Al Buraimi
Royal Oman Police celebrated on 3 / 8 / 2017 the opening of a services building in Al Buraimi Governorate within the ROP strategy to provide the services of trafÀc, passports and residence and civil service to the public within their vicinity. The opening ceremony was held under the Auspices of His Excellency Sayed Ibrahim bin Said Albusaidi, the Governor of Al Buraimi, and attended by Maj Gen Sulaiman bin Moham- med Al- Harthy, Asst Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Finan- cial Affairs, their excellency, senior police, army and security ofÀcers. His Excellency the chief guest accompanied by Maj Gen Sulaiman Al-Harthy opened the building and toured the sections.
Issue No.151 November 2017 The building is equipped to ensure easy, efÀcient services, and to meet the present and future needs.
16 Manah Police Station Opened
On Sunday 10 / 9 / 2017 Royal Oman Police opened a police station in Manah under the auspices of His Excellency Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Mahrorgi, Head of the Public Author- ity of Electricity and Water. Maj Gen Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Harthy, Assist. Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs attended the cer- emony. The chief guest was saluted by the parade, which made marches in front of the grandstand. Then he unveiled the commemorative plaque as a gesture of the ofÀcial opening of the building.
