We arrive at London Luton Airport early in the afternoon from where we set out to the southwest by our private transfer. We reach the coastal town of in two and a half hours, with a stopover to refresh ourselves. During our flight and bus journey, we enjoy interesting quizzes on the history and culture of the UK. Arriving at our accommodation, we take some free time to unpack, have dinner and play fun games on the beach led by our native instructors. Following our breakfast, we get to know more about the area by taking an interactive sightseeing tour in Swanage. While doing exciting tasks in small teams, we will have the chance to read a map, use our English and interact with the locals, including the coast guard :) Find out where our lunch is served! We spend the afternoon in the nearby Durlston Country Park where our native speaker teacher helps us discover the wildlife of the region. In the morning we have an English class with a native speaker teacher on the vocabulary related to our daily excursion. Having learnt some words, we set out on a day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast. We get amazed by its Triassic-Jurassic cliffs as well as geological formations, and find out how Mary Anning, an 11-year-old girl, who lived in the first half of the 18th century, became identified with the site as much as the dinosaurs. We take part in an exciting fossil hunt on the coast with a native speaker tour leader and visit the most amazing natural wonders on the coast before heading back to our accommodation for a movie night in the evening. Following our set-up lesson in the morning, we get on a steam train to reach Corfe Castle through a scenic journey. We have to solve interactive tasks to be able to discover the mediaeval village named after the 11th century fortress and its history, from William the Conqueror to the English Civil War. In the afternoon we improve our bushcraft skills, learn how to safely light a fire without matches, build a shelter and cook a variety of outdoor food. We attend an English class with our native teacher in the morning to prepare for our day-trip and learn about animals and plants. Our destination is Abbotsbury today, a village notable for its surviving abbey buildings from the Middle Ages and fantastic views to the Jurassic Coast. We pay a visit to its magnificent subtropical gardens, filled with rare and exotic plants from all over the world. In the afternoon we see the lambs’ race in one of the best Children’s Farms in before helping hand feed 600 swans at a unique natural wildlife habitat where some Harry Potter scenes were filmed as well. We have dinner back in Swanage, then learn the classic elements of team building in a pirate themed session. Topics: animals and plants, farming, team building

After our usual thematic vocabulary booster, we follow the , walking via the famous coastal formations of Old Harry Rocks, until we reach Studland’s four-kilometre- long golden beach. We learn from our native speaker teacher how people in the area live with environmental sustainability in mind, then we explore coastal ecosystems, from fascinating seashells to shifting sand dunes. In the afternoon the group has the chance to unwind and have fun through a variety of pool games in Chatsworth Centre’s outdoor heated pool. Our last evening is spent at the campfire listening to stories and performing songs. We leave Swanage after breakfast, take some time en route to the airport to reflect on the past week’s experiences and fly back to Budapest in the afternoon.

The accommodation incorporates dormitory and recreational areas including a heated outdoor swimming pool, classrooms and a dining hall. We will be staying at Little Eversden House, privately used by our group, with 9 rooms, several bathrooms, lounges and a classroom with a projector. Beach Games - These activities address the transition from home and classroom teaching, to the different expectations of communal living and being outdoors. Safety and Security issues are highlighted, children are made aware of all their senses and how using them enhances their enjoyment of being outdoors. A variety of games are taken place to help gain new skills and knowledge to help them as the programme progresses. - Swanage Beach

Navigation Exercise - After being dropped off at an unknown location, groups will find their way back to the centre using a set of instructions, a map and a compass. For groups under 16 our tutors will follow them and allow the pupils to make their own decisions and mistakes, only stepping in if required. - Offsite in Local area

Bushcraft - Starting with flints and steel, students are all encouraged to have a go. Once the fire is alight, the group will enjoy campfire cooking, depending on session length from Bannock bread to an evening meal. - Onsite

Archery - We are the only centre that offers the chance to do traditional clout archery (like you see in the films but without the flames!) All students will have a chance to learn the skill or improve on target archery. - Onsite

ABC Quiz - Questions based on the activities test tactics and cunning as well as skills and knowledge. An excellent celebration of achievement by everyone involved. - Onsite

Classic Team Building - The classic elements of team building are taught and put into practice in a session which follows and works with group dynamics. This can be pirate themed for younger participants. - Onsite

Water Skills (Poole Splash) - A chance for the group to unwind and have fun through a variety of pool games. Taking place in our outdoor heated pool with a pool attendant, the session is suitable for swimmers and non-swimmers. This session the groups have the opportunity to learn to snorkel. It will all take place in our outdoor heated swimming pool with a pool attendant ensuring the session is suitable for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. – Onsite

Traditional Celebratory Camp Fire- Starting with some songs and stories from our tutors, through the evening your group will have a chance to be the stars performing songs, sketches and telling stories.
