Command Sergeant Major (CSM) William A. Lillie

CSM Lillie, enlisted in the Army from Worcester, Massachusetts in 1998. He completed One Station Unit Training at , to receive the MOS 19D Calvary Scout.

CSM Lillie has served in every enlisted leadership position from Team Leader, Squad Leader, Section Leader, Operations Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Command Sergeant Major. CSM Lillie's previous assignments include 2d Squadron, 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment; 1st Squadron, 17th Cavalry (ABN); 5th Squadron, 73d Cavalry (ABN); 2d Squadron, 16th Cavalry; HHC, 316th Cavalry Brigade and most recently as the Command Sergeant Major of 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment.

CSM Lillie’s military and civilian education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officers Education System, he is a graduate of the Sergeants Major Academy Class 65, Airborne and Jumpmaster Schools, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School, Reconnaissance Surveillance Leaders Course, Cavalry Leaders Course, Army Basic Instructor Course and is currently perusing his Bachelor's Degree from Excelsior College in Business & Management.

CSM Lillie's operational deployments include a peace keeping mission as part of SFOR 7 to Bosnia-Herzegovina, four Operation Iraqi Freedom rotations, Operation Inherent Resolve (Iraq) and a Humanitarian Assistance Deployment to New Orleans in support of Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.

CSM Lillie's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (2 OLC), (1 OLC), Presidential Unit Citation (1 OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal(3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal(3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal(2 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal(6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (4 Campaign Stars), Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (w/ Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Over Seas Service Ribbon(2nd Award) and the NATO Medal, Combat Action Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, , Pathfinder Badge, and the parachutist badges from Canada and Australia. He is also a recipient of the Draper Armor Leadership Award and has been inducted into the Honorable Order of St. George.
