His Partime watches with their futuristic design offer a playful approach to time. All are developed in and produced in limited series. Partime is an evocative name referring to graphic watches evoking the time that has elapsed so far in a given day and that which re- mains. A right angle increases every minute inside a circle, with the horizontal section indicating the hours and the vertical section showing the minutes. At a press of a button, Partime watches also offer a digital display. Graphic interpretations of a new means of viewing time, they not only tell the time, but also invite their owner to reflect by giving them a break amid a hectic world, like an invitation to become fully aware of time. www.swisstime.ch 3475 —

Like a camera shutter, the cut-out black dial provides tantalising glimpses of transparent ha- los, revealing the complexity of a mechanical . Bridges, oscillating weight, gear trains and blued screws interact with infinite precision, in turn revealing chamfered, rhodium-plated, circular-grained and Côtes de Genève finishing. The enigmatic and intriguing dial features four counters with a resolutely 21st century design, respectively marking off the chronograph hours www.swisstime.ch 3453 and minutes, small seconds, as as well as the date. —

The entire layout is framed by a ceramic rotating bezel. The case is crafted from steel, and uses alternating polished and satin finishes to create a dynamic composition that is repeated in the bracelet links. 32 Hall 1.1 – A83 & A87 ALPINA SEASTRONG HOROLOGICAL SMARTWATCH In the 1960s, the Seastrong by Alpina plunged to 200-metre depths and established itself as the gold standard in its field. While it has maintained its diving credentials and its distinctive identity codes of watchmaking craftsmanship along with pleasing aesthe- tic appeal, it now also turns smart. As well as activity tracking and sleep monitoring, it features various other functions such as dynamic coaching, 24-hour worldtimer, automatic adjustment via smartphone when changing , as well as various types of notifications and alerts. If the watch is lost, the data can be easily recovered, since the measurements are automatically stored in an independent cloud for 30 days without any need for synchronisation with a smartphone. 34 Hall 1.0 – A39 ALPINA STARTIMER PILOT AUTOMATIC A true reference brand in the field of aviation, Alpina was official supplier of military watches to the pilots of the continental air forces during the first half of the 20th century. Inspired by these legendary models, its Startimer Pilot collection launched in 2011 quickly established itself as an authentic modern-day professional instrument, while remaining true to the original requirements of aviation pioneers : precision and extreme shock resistance, as well as impeccable legibility and a non-magnetic case. The new Startimer Pilot Automatic presented today is no exception. At the heart of a 44 mm case available in various executions beats an automatic calibre oscillating at 4 Hz to ensure optimal precision. On the dial, the iconic Alpina red triangle on the central sweep-se- conds hand and at 12 o’clock enliven the highly readable overall www.swisstime.ch 3502 display enhanced by luminescent oversized hands. —

36 Hall 1.0 – A39 ANGELUS U20 ULTRA-SKELETON An authentic haute horlogerie sculpture, the U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon is designed in such a way as to provide a 3D view of its flying movement from any angle. Taking the quest for trans- parency to its ultimate limits, the Angelus showcases a wealth of skills dedicated to optimising each element and preserving only essential elements, while maintaining the rigidity and sturdiness of the entirely open-worked movement. Built on a sapphire main plate, the calibre appears to be literally floating inside the car- bon fibre case, which also displays fascinating feats. Fitted with chamfered titanium lugs reflecting the light, it dispenses with a bezel and is instead topped by an imposing sapphire crystal dome that magnificently highlights the overall transparency and the 3D architecture. 18-piece limited edition. www.swisstime.ch 3470 —

38 Hall 1.2 – L21 ANDERSEN PERPETUEL SECULAR CALENDER 20TH ANNIVERSARY BLUE GOLD DIAL In 1996, Andersen Genève presented the first perpetual secular calendar in wristwatch form that was “ programmed ” for a cycle of 400 years. Devised to accommodate the whims of the Gregorian calendar, this rare and challenging automatically adjusts its display to months with 30 or 31 days, and to the 28 or 29 days of February, and takes into account century years which, because they are not divisible by 400, are not leap years, namely 2100, 2200 and 2300. A single correction and February will have just 28 days (instead of the 29 shown by every other perpetual ca- lendar). In celebration of the 20th anniversary of its perpetual secular calendar, Andersen Genève has added a new complication : a day of the week indication. Given that their names are derived from the names of the sun, the moon and five planets, these seven bodies are www.swisstime.ch 3489 shown as hand-engraved gold buttons on the dial. The current day — of the week is shown by a dot in a small aperture above each one. Proposed as a 20-piece limited series, in only. MOVEMENT Mechanical automatic, “ perpetual secular calendar ” module developed and manufactured by Andersen Genève, 28 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, 40-hour power reserve. FUNCTIONS Hours, minutes, seconds, perpe- tual secular calendar with day, date, month and leap years over 400 years. CASE Platinum, 42.8 mm. Water-resistant to 30 metres (3 bar / 100 ft). DIAL Blue gold, hand-guillochage with “ ” motif. Sun, moon and five planets engraved in white gold, Andersen Genève logo engraved in white gold. Back dial with perpetual secular calendar display on 3 subdials (4-year cycle over 48 months, 400-year cycle with hand making two rotations per century, secular wheel making one rotation in 400 years). STRAP Hand-stitched alligator with platinum buckle.

40 Hall 2.0 – C15 ARMIN STROM MIRRORED FORCE RESONANCE Armin Strom delivers its interpretation of a phenomenon whose application in watchmaking is so complex it has rarely been attempted in past centuries : the principle of resonance, whereby two balance wheels oscillating in close proximity influence each other and ultimately synchronise. By mutually compensating rate error, they increase the watch’s precision, reduce the negative ef- fects on accuracy of outside factors such as shocks, and conserve energy. Armin Strom offers visual proof of this phenomenon by way of a patented resonance clutch spring that connects the two regulators. They enter into resonance as they rotate in opposite directions. This impressive feat of horological mechanics can be admired on the dial side. www.swisstime.ch 3438 —

MOVEMENT Mechanical hand-wound, Armin Strom ARF15 calibre, 43 jewels, 25,200 vib/h, resonance clutch spring, two independent, symmetrically mirrored regulators, 48-hour power reserve. FUNCTIONS Hours, minutes, seconds. CASE 18K pink gold, 43.4 mm. Pusher at 2 o’clock to reset the twin seconds displays to zero and to reset the twin balance wheels. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, front and back. Water-resistant to 50 metres (5 bar/165 ft). DIAL Off-centre time indications. Twin seconds displays. STRAP Black hornback alligator with buckle. Delivered with an additional rubber strap.

42 Hall 1.2 – L11 ARNOLD & SON NEBULA Arnold & Son explores the length and breadth of symmetry to give life to the Nebula watch. The holistically designed, skeletonised movement and dial offer a three-dimensional view into the heart of the watch, each element of which has been purposely crafted to achieve perfect symmetry, not only horizontally and vertically but also front and back. At 12 o’clock, twin barrels providing a comfortable 90 hours of power reserve create a striking mirror effect with the small seconds and balance below. Seven triangular bridges radiate from the perimeter to the centre of the dial to form a sculptural movement, like an inverted, exploded star. Indeed, Nebula takes its name from nebulae, an astronomical term to describe a cloud of cosmic gas and dust formed from the debris of exploding stars. www.swisstime.ch 3440 —

MOVEMENT Mechanical hand-wound, Manufacture Arnold & Son A&S5101 calibre, entirely skeletonised and sym- metrical, 24 jewels, 21,600 vib/h, twin barrels, chamfered bridges, mirror-polished screws, 90-hour power reserve. FUNCTIONS Hours, minutes, seconds. CASE 18K (5N) pink gold or stainless steel, 41.5 mm. Cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides. Sapphire back. STRAP Hand-stitched brown or black alligator or anthracite calfskin. 18K pink gold or steel buckle.

44 Hall Localisation 1.2 – L21 ARTYA RACE RED OZ For its first model inspired by the world of racing tracks, and in particular the legendary Nascar racing circuit and its rebellious 1950s spirit, ArtyA treats itself to the luxury of a world premiere : the time is visible only when the watch is in motion. The wheel rim topping the dial creates an optical effect when it is spinning at full speed, revealing a play of transparency across the display surface. In another excusive innovation, the hub of the wheel rim runs right through the dial and even the sapphire crystal, thereby guaranteeing perfect water resistance. This construction makes it possible to actually touch the wheel rim and feel it turning beneath your fingers. On the caseback side, the Race Red Oz reveals ano- ther new feature : a tachometer-shaped carbon fibre oscillating weight, whose rotations create a striking mirror effect with the dial www.swisstime.ch 3435 animation. 99-piece limited edition. —

MOVEMENT Mechanical automatic, ArtyA calibre, 52-hour power reserve. FUNCTIONS Hours, minutes, seconds, speedometer. CASE Black PVD-treated 316L stainless steel, 44.5 mm. Case middle with carbon inserts. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, front and back. DIAL Carbon fibre topped with a rotating Oz wheel rim. Tachometer on the the caseback side. STRAP/BRACELET Calfskin or crocodile strap or steel bracelet.

46 Hall 1.2 – L71 ARTYA SCULPTED GOLD TOURBILLON 1/1 To give life to this one-of-a-kind creation, the respective visions of its two creators – ArtyA founder Yvan Arpa and master-engraver Bram Ramon – were once again united in revealing the finest ma- nifestations of their art. Fired by a passion for Neo-Renaissance ornamental engraving, Bram has applied his famous Prismacut® Art technique to this model. After transferring the motif to the steel dial, he hollows out cavities for the platinum inlays, before sculpting and shaping achieved by means of relief gold leaf inlays hammered into the cut-outs. Once the outlines are traced, the lengthy engraving work can begin. The entire surface is then blued to highlight the contrasts of this bas-relief motif. This one-of-a-kind creation is powered by a mechanical movement exclusive to ArtyA, while revealing the fascinating rotations of its www.swisstime.ch 3436 flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. —

MOVEMENT Mechanical hand-wound, flying tourbillon exclusive to ArtyA, 19 jewels, 21,600 vib/h, circular-grained bridges adorned with Côtes de Genève, 100-hour power reserve. 48 Hall 1.2 – L71 ARTYA SON OF SEA TOURBILLON 1/1 ArtyA introduces another creative work with the one-of-a-kind Son of Sea Tourbillon. Inspired by the famous herbarium discovered by John Briquet more than a century ago, the artist Do- minique Arpa-Cirpka decided to create her own algae collection on a dial. Mingling seabed treasures, natural pigments and gold leaf with real butterfly wings and fish scales, she has composed a unique description of this fascinating scenery that appears to have emerged directly from the blue waters of the Mediterranean. A tribute to the beauty and vulnerability of of seabeds, this one-off creation beats to the rhythm of a movement exclusive to ArtyA and featuring another treasure – this time of a mechanical nature : a flying tourbillon whose rotations at 6 o’clock appear to bring the aquatic dial scene to life. www.swisstime.ch 3433 —

STRAP Hand-sewn black crocodile, buckle.

50 Hall 1.2 – L71 ARTYA SUN TOURBILLON 1/1 With its new one-of-a-kind Sun Tourbillon model, ArtyA transforms mechanical complexity into an authentic work of art, by staging this fascinating flying tourbillon within its patented guitar-shaped case. Dreamed up by Yvan Arpa and produced by MHC, Manufacture Hautes Complications, it sets the tempo for the small seconds appearing at 6 o’clock, as if suspended in mid-air. Exactly opposite at 12 o’clock sits the barrel with an entirely rede- signed bridge. The entire mechanism is fitted inside an X-shaped structure inspired by the struts fitted on the back of guitars for support and reinforcement. This entirely openworked construction houses the entire movement, thereby freeing up all the open parts of the X so as to ensure absolute transparency. Light literally floods through the movement, ensuring one can admire the full beauty www.swisstime.ch 3441 of the polished or satin-brushed finishes in subtle shades of grey. — Hand-engraved by Bram Ramon.

52 Hall 1.2 – L71 BERGEON ROTATING STAND WITH 12 SPECIAL-PROFILE ’S SCREWDRIVERS Bergeon builds on extensive research to develop tools whose tech- nical qualities and ergonomics exactly correspond to ’ needs. Launched in 2016, the 7965 screwdriver range, with its innovative design and carefully studied functionality, immediately stood out as contributing to production quality. Encouraged by this success, Bergeon now presents a rotating stand N° 7965-S12 with 12 special-profile screwdrivers. They are adapted for use with the 7965-C range of dynamometric barrel drums. As an additional feature, the stand has six empty slots for storing the barrel drums. More good reasons for Bergeon to continue as a trusted partner in the making of fine Swiss watches.

54 Hall 2.0 – H44 BERGSTERN ACTIVE The Active watch by Bergstern is brimming with energy and dy- namism. This resolutely sporty model is designed for challenges and never resorts to half-measures. Function and design meet and merge in this model. Its chronograph and tachymeter scale are staged in a particularly legible manner on the dial and inner bezel ring, along with the extremely graphic hour-markers and the date window at 4 o’clock. While accentuating this legibility, the contrasts between the black dial and the red minutes coun- ter and small seconds at 9 and 3 o’clock also contribute to the sophisticated nature of this watch. A powerful and modern style, reinforced by a generous 47 mm robust steel case. A red rubber strap matching the counters sets the finishing touch to a decidedly eye-catching model. www.swisstime.ch 3444 —

56 Hall 1.1 – A83 & A87 BERGSTERN HARMONY The latest model in the Harmony line is a watch featuring a surpri- singly pure layout with offset large date aperture and retrograde day display. The small seconds at 6 o’clock provides a rigorously geometrical touch perfecting this subtle aesthetic balance. 68 Hall 1.0 – C31 BREITLING NAVITIMER RATTRAPANTE Launched in 1952, the Navitimer once again proves its ability to stay one step ahead of the rest by revisiting one of the most demanding watchmaking complications: the split-seconds chrono- graph. Entirely developed and produced in the firm’s workshops, its Manufacture Breitling Caliber 03 introduces two major pa- tented innovations. The first stems from the key challenge raised by the construction of such a chronograph: energy. Breitling has developed an innovative system serving to isolate the split-seconds hand so as to avoid its starting and stopping phases generating variable energy requirements liable to be detrimental to chrono- metric precision and reduce the power reserve. The second patent relates to the mechanism for stopping the split-seconds hand. Inspired by cycle brakes, Breitling has wrapped the traditionally www.swisstime.ch 3503 used wheel with an O-ring seal that compresses the clamp, thereby — ensuring extremely precise stopping and greater reliability.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of this pioneer of wide open spaces, Breitling has revamped its iconic design. The main development is a new steel bezel with an ultra-hard high-tech ceramic ring that is scratchproof and extre- mely shock-resistant. The elimination of the metal ring surrounding the minute circle means that this bezel appears to form a seamless whole with the dial bearing the original Superocean logo. The shape of the hands – triangular for the hours and lozenge-like for the minutes – as well as the slightly cone-shaped hour-markers, reinforces ties with the 1957 model, while ensuring optimal le- gibility. 78 Hall 1.0 – D25 CARAN D’ACHE ASTROGRAPH LIMITED EDITION The Maison Caran d’Ache and the horological laboratory MB&F undertook an authentic creative odyssey in creating the Astrograph. It all began with the original idea of MB&F founder, Maximilian Büsser : projecting his dreams of conquering space into a writing instrument. It took more than four years for the creative and technical forces at Caran d’Ache to make this dream come true in the shape of a “ rocket ”. Its structure is based on a mechanism inspired by penknives : a miniature lever – the entry door to the rocket, concealed in the ring of the pen – activates the lowering of three stabiliser legs designed to place the rocket in a vertical position, ready for take-off. Other innovative features enrich this 99-piece limited numbered edition. More than 500 manual operations were required to launch the Astrograph, the www.swisstime.ch 3446 most complex writing instrument ever produced by the Caran — d’Ache workshops in Geneva.

BUCHERER MANERO POWERRESERVE Thus far available with a silver-grey or black dial, the Manero PowerReserve invites colour to take centre stage in two series draped in blue or green, issued in two 188-piece limited editions. 102 Hall 1.1 – A73 CZAPEK QUAI DES BERGUES N. 33S An evocation of the original made by François Czapek circa 1850, the Quai des Bergues N. 33bis lends itself to a 38.5-mm case, to give us the Quai des Bergues N. 33s. Such a classic size ensures this new iteration is suited to the most slender wrists and to collectors in search of a harmonious style that has travelled through time with continued elegance. The soft curves of the case together with the balanced layout of the dial, inspired by early 1950s wristwatches, ensure that the Quai des Bergues N. 33s appeals not only to men, but also to women and their growing appreciation of fine mechanical watches. Czapek has more than risen to the challenge of fitting its 14¼-ligne pro- prietary movement into this new case, as shown by the harmony that defines this mechanical composition, which is visible through www.swisstime.ch 3512 the sapphire back. —

104 Hall 1.2 – L58 DE GRISOGONO ECCENTRICA Daring, self-confident, entirely new and yet giving the impression it has always been part of the de Grisogono family, the new Eccentrica collection opens up unexplored creative territory. By imagining an anti-conformist design expressed through a succes- sion of nested circles with varying diameters and centres, Fawaz Gruosi has found the key to a perfectly harmonious geometrical aesthetic. It creates an original visual balance, like a hymn to roundness, in which diamonds trace mesmerising depth effects, while the overall subtly asymmetrical structure extends through to the lugs. The large Arabic numerals on the dial tell the story of time with appealing opulence. A crown set with a black diamond and a galuchat-dotted strap set the perfectly elegant finishing touches to a watch bearing the inimitable identity codes of the www.swisstime.ch 3513 Maison de Grisogono that naturally predestine it for success. —

While local time is still indicated in the dial centre, home time appears at 9 o’clock in a 24-hour counter. The Raider Harpoon watch makes this vital information clearer and easier to read than ever. Minutes are shown by an extremely visible hand that points to large, lu- minescent markers on the dial. A unidirectional bezel indicates remaining dive time. Hours are displayed on a rotating disc with Roman numerals that is driven by an ingenious patented mechanism. The speed at which this luminescent indicator rotates is calculated so that it returns to its starting point after exactly 12 hours. 122 Hall 1.1 – D55 FREDERIQUE CONSTANT CLASSIC WORLDTIMER MANUFACTURE Frederique Constant returns to its iconic Classic Worldtimer Ma- nufacture with the presentation of this sophisticated “ citizen of the world ”. The golden tones of the case make a pleasing contrast with the chocolate colour of the dial, which is finely etched with a world map and circled by a day/night indicator, with 24 refe- rence cities around the outer rim. 124 Hall 1.0 – A39 FREDERIQUE CONSTANT FLYBACK CHRONOGRAPH MANUFACTURE Frédérique Constant presents an authentic feat with its new Flyback Chronograph Manufacture, retailing for under 4,000 euros. At its heart beats Caliber FC-760, entirely developed and created in-house. Thanks to its flyback function, this chronograph can measure a succession of events, such as during a race, without needing to be reset to zero every time. It is also equipped with a “ Direct In-Line ” function enabling instantaneous activation of the flyback function, with zero-resetting and launch of a new measurement simply by pressing a pusher at 4 o’clock. Contrary to classic constructions, the chronograph functions are distributed not by a column wheel, but instead by a star-shaped wheel driven by a pusher, thus ensuring particularly smooth operation. Another innovation is a clutch powered by a device based on two toothed www.swisstime.ch 3515 pinions. 136 Hall 1.2 – W02 HALDIMANN H1 FLYING CENTRAL TOURBILLON Watchmaking is a tradition that goes back centuries for the Hal- dimann family, to 1642 precisely. A mechanical wizard and the inventor of the flying central tourbillon, Beat Haldimann is surely the pride of his ancestors. This child of the Bernese Oberland be- lieves watches are first and foremost pieces of art. Moreover, time is nothing more than a pretext for his concept of watchmaking. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that production never ex- ceeds a handful of pieces a year. The H1 Flying Central Tourbillon is one of these rare works. Fitted with three barrels, it has been entirely designed, developed and produced in the Haldimann workshops in Thun. The platinum or gold case is also crafted in- house and hand-finished. Beneath the sleek exterior of a modular and customisable case, this new Predator 2.0 showcases two compli- cations that are symbols of timekeeping precision and centuries of tradition : the regulator and the tourbillon. The latter rotates inside its carriage at 6 o’clock, a mechanical choreography ver- sion 2.0, to compensate variations in rate due to Earth’s gravity. The regulator-type hours and minutes subdials at 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock are set out like the instrument cluster on a racing car, while the centre hand counts precious seconds to the finish line. The powerful engine that drives these functions is an automatic www.swisstime.ch 3472 movement with 65-hour power reserve. —

This automatic movement has a modular construction to allow the addition of new complications. Its tourbillon, positioned at 1 o’clock, turns counter-clockwise, thanks to the “ inverted ” architecture of this irreversible movement. The mechanism for the retrograde small seconds, usually hidden, is on full view as though hovering above the movement. The micro-rotor, which is held by a self-blocking key at 9 o’clock, is also on display, while hours and minutes are counted on a mineral dial at 4 o’clock to lend a final touch of refinement to this exceptional composition www.swisstime.ch 3525 that plays on asymmetry and transparency. —

208 Hall 1.0 – A11 URBAN JÜRGENSEN REFERENCE 1140 PT BLUE Since 1773, time has taken its course at Urban Jürgensen, shaped by virtuoso craftsmen and women into creations of extraordinary beauty and precision. Proposed as a 30-piece limited series, the new Reference 1140 PT Blue is no exception. Its apparent sim- plicity hides a wealth of expertise, brought to bear as tradition demands, patiently and without haste. Each dial is the result of more than 700 separate stages; the guillochage alone takes two days to complete. The hands, which are also manually crafted, require the utmost precision down to the final polishing. Inspired by Urban Jürgensen’s historic pocket watches, the large Arabic numerals in white gold call on skills that have all but disappeared. All these elements reside inside a platinum case, inside which beats the P4 calibre. It too is manufactured in Urban Jürgensen’s www.swisstime.ch 3500 workshops, where tranquillity reigns. —

A blend of traditional handcrafting and industrial capacity, the Seed VMF 5430 is a showcase for the skill and expertise within Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, which extend far beyond the production of high-end movements. 212 Hall 2.2 – C25 VICTORINOX I.N.O.X. CARBON The I.N.O.X. Carbon starts a new chapter in Victorinox Swiss Army’s quest for perfection. Made from a carbon resin composite that protects space shuttles from re-entry temperatures in excess of 1,260°C, it is built to achieve the highest levels of performance. Each I.N.O.X. Carbon watch combines high structural rigidity with scratch-resistance and hypoallergenic properties. Design is a priority too, shown by the clever contrast of red military time, printed under the sapphire crystal, with the subtle marbled effects of the carbon composite. An alternative to the natural rubber strap, a second strap in Naimakka paracord – a multi-strand nylon used for parachute suspension lines that has a breaking strength of 250 kg – equips this I.N.O.X. 214 Hall 1.1 – B75 VOUTILAINEN VINGT-8 ISO Voutilainen introduces a completely innovative display of the time based on System 1 and System 2 human behaviour, as studied by Nobel Prize-winner Daniel Kahneman. The Vingt-8 ISO breaks with System 1 behaviour, whereby time is read at a glance using a deeply entrenched “ code ”, and instead elicits System 2 beha- viour in which telling the time acquires a deeper, more intellectual dimension. This heightened awareness of time is translated by hour and minute hands which are superimposed on each full hour, and opposed at each half-hour. The angle between the two hands is always the same, whatever the time. The secret lies with the minutes disc that turns with the hour hand so that the minutes hand can mark the elapsed minutes. www.swisstime.ch 3456 —

218 Hall Localisation 1.1 – A77 WERENBACH EARTH COLLECTION Crowdfunding has enabled Werenbach to launch its mechanical watches made of authentic Soyuz spacecraft rocket material which, having fallen to Earth after being jettisoned from the rocket, was retrieved by Werenbech on the steppes of Kazakhstan and brought back to Switzerland to be transformed into watches. These models are available at very affordable prices on kickstarter. com. For the Earth collection, the Zurich start-up has used debris from the Soyuz spacecraft launched in October 2016 towards the International Space Station to make the dials, available in various colours, depending on the part of the rocket it comes from. These fragments are left in their original state with tiny signs of wear from their space odyssey, thereby making each watch unique. 220 Hall 1.2 – W03 ZENITH HERITAGE 146 Zenith revisits one of its historic 1960s models in giving life to a new chronograph with a delightfully vintage air : Heritage 146. While it picks up the retro look of its predecessor, with the same 38 mm case, it is driven by a new high-frequency movement powering a chronograph function and ensuring a 50-hour power reserve, whereas the original 146D calibre beat at the rhythm of 18,000 vibrations per hour, had a 38-hour power reserve and displayed only the hours, minutes and small seconds. In a nod to the 1960s, today’s El Primero 4069 movement orchestrates a dial layout typical of that period, with two counters lined up on a date-free dial available in sunburst blue or tropical brown ver- sions. A competition leather strap sets the perfect finishing touch, underscoring the vintage nature of this model capable of subtly www.swisstime.ch 3469 mingling distinct eras. —
