Yanina Wickmayer Relève Le Défi Play Unified ! Invitation À La Presse Invitation à la presse Yanina Wickmayer relève le défi Play Unified ! Invitation à la presse : Yanina Wickmayer, Sabine Appelmans et deux athlètes Special Olympics joueront un match en double unifié le lundi 14 novembre Cet été, Yanina Wickmayer a été mise au défi, de jouer un match ensemble, par l’athlète Special Olympics Lies Gielis. L’athlète a lancé ce défi via une grande bannière avec une photo d’elle-même, sur le terrain de Yanina, et le message suivant : “Yanina, on tape la balle ? Moi, je suis chaude.” Le jour suivant, Yanina Wickmayer acceptait le défi avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme. “Hey Lies, challenge accepted. #PlayUnified” pouvait-on lire sur sa page Facebook. Kim Clijsters a sauté dans le train en marche, proposant spontanément de mettre à disposition la Kim Clijsters Academy. Le match se fait dans le cadre de la campagne Play Unified de Special Olympics Belgium, qui promeut le sport ensemble, permettant à des athlètes avec et sans handicap mental de s’entraîner et de jouer dans la même équipe ou dans le même club. Yanina et Lies réaliseront ce défi le lundi 14 novembre, en compagnie de Sabine Appelmans et de l’athlète Special Olympics Kim Lodewijckx. Elles joueront un match en double unifié, dans lequel chaque paire est composée d’un athlète Special Olympics et d’un partenaire unifié. Rendez-vous à 13h45 sur le terrain de tennis de la Kim Clijsters Academy à Bree (Watertorenstraat 16, 3960 Bree). De atlete deed dit met een groot spandoek van zichzelf aan Yanina’s tennisveld met de volgende boodschap op: “Yanina, balletje slaan? Ik ben alvast in vorm.” De dag erna accepteerde Yanina de uitdaging met veel enthousiasme. “Hey Lies, challenge accepted. #PlayUnified” stond er te lezen op haar facebookpagina. En ook Kim Clijsters sprong op de boot en stelde spontaan de Kim Clijsters Academy ter beschikking . De wedstrijd kadert in de Play Unified- campagne van Special Olympics Belgium die samen sporten promoot waarbij mensen met en zonder verstandelijke beperking in dezelfde ploeg of dezelfde club kunnen trainen en sporten. Yanina en Lies gaan de uitdaging aan op maandag 14 november in het gezelschap van Sabine Appelmans en Special Olympics-atlete Kim Lodewijckx.
