Unit Name No. of Description Beds 24 include cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, ventilator support, multisystem failure, electrolyte imbalance, complicated surgeries, sepsis, renal failure and neurosurgeries. Progressive Care 32 Complex population which include congestive heart failure, renal failure, GI Unit: bleeding, drug overdose, bariatric and neurology patients. Medical Renal 48 Medical unit with diabetic, oncology, COPD and renal failure patients. Oncology Orthopedic/Neurol 30 Orthopedic, neurology and spine patients and with a 12 bed Center for Joint Health ogy/Spine which includes total joint replacements for knees and hips. Neurology patient types include CVA, seizures and 24-hour outpatient video EEG. Inpatient Surgical 48 Unit with post-operative surgical patients: gynecological, urological, colon-rectal. Unit (G-2): Maternity Services: 60 LDRP which includes ante partum patients. Women are admitted to the Maternity Unit where they stay for their entire labor, delivery, and recovery experience. Neonatal Intensive 48 NICU provides care for high-risk neonates from 23-week gestation through 28 days post Care Unit (NICU): term. The unit includes 4 rooms for twins and 1 room for triplets. The most common reason for admission is respiratory distress and prematurity. Pediatrics: 20 Patients (age 0 to 17) include both ambulatory as well as inpatients. The unit has 2 sleep center beds. A surgical clinic is held on Tuesdays and Fridays as well as a Synagis Clinic held from November to April. The most common diagnoses are respiratory and GI. Pediatric ICU 4 Common diagnosis respiratory. The PICU is capable of caring for patients on high flow capable beds nasal oxygen, BiPAP and conventional ventilators Observation Unit 15 All ED admissions and direct admits for a Med-Surg level of care are on this unit prior to transfer to the specific med-surg unit. In addition, all med-surg observation patients are admitted to this unit as well. Infusion Unit 10 Outpatient procedure unit. Procedures include blood transfusions, lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsy, IV antibiotics, IGG administration, post procedure care from Interventional Radiology or Angiography. Surgery (inpatient): 8 Performs both outpatient and inpatient procedures, averaging between 25 and 30 suites procedures a day. Surgical procedures include gastric bypass, lap band procedures as part of the bariatric programs, as well as the DaVinci Robotic Surgical System utilized for laparoscopic prostatectomies and hysterectomies. Other surgeries include: colon resection, spinal fusion, craniotomies, total joint replacement and nephrectomies Indiana Surgery 9 Multi-specialty outpatient surgery center performing over 11,000 procedures annually. Center (outpatient) suites The Center has a 24-hour stay unit for extended recovery. Procedures are as small as ear tubes and as acute as spinal surgery and laparoscopic vaginal hysterectomies. Emergency 26 Beds A paramedic receiving, non trauma, which sees about 130 Department: and 2 patients/day for all age groups. Shock Rooms Behavioral Care • 1 SE: Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU): 10 bed unit for adult persons Services requiring more psychiatric intensive monitoring • 1 NE: 8 bed overflow unit • 2 NW: 12 bed children's unit • 2 SW: 12 bed integrated recovery (addictions) unit • 2 NE: 12 bed adolescent unit • 2 SE: 12 bed general adult unit • 3 E: 20 bed affective disorders unit • 3 N: 17 bed seriously mentally ill (SMI) unit • 3W: 18 bed geriatric unit (Seasons)
