FOREWORD

The District Statistical Hand Book, Jajpur’ 2018 is a step forward for evidence based planning with compilation of sub-district level information. It furnishes block-wise statistics on Area & Population, Agriculture, Co-operation, Forest, Fisheries, Live Stock & Animal Husbandry, Industry & Mining, Power, Transport & Communication, Education, Health and Family Welfare, Banking, Revenue, Police, Crime and Judiciary, Labour & Employment, Public Distribution, Local Bodies, Election, Women & Child Welfare Programme, Poverty Alleviation Programme, Disaster Statistics etc. Besides, the publication provides district wise information on selected indicators which helps to access the relative position of the district in the State.

This publication will be a handy guide to the line Departments at the district and State level for sectoral and decentralized planning. This will also carter to the district and block level data requirement for Non-Government Organizations working in the field.
