Press Release May 25, 2021
Press Release May 25, 2021 NEW PAN-INDUSTRY ECO RATING SCHEME LAUNCHED FOR MOBILE PHONES • Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica, Telia Company and Vodafone unveil new consumer labelling to identify more sustainable mobile phones • Eco Rating to roll out across Europe from June 2021, including phones from 12 vendors Five of Europe’s leading mobile operators have joined forces to update and launch a new pan- industry Eco Rating labelling scheme that will help consumers identify and compare the most sustainable mobile phones and encourage suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of their devices. The Eco Rating initiative has been created jointly by Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica (operating under the O2 and Movistar brands), Telia Company and Vodafone to provide consistent, accurate information at retail on the environmental impact of producing, using, transporting and disposing of smartphones and feature phones. Eco Rating will enable operators and their customers to encourage wider rating of phones and demonstrate the demand for more sustainable electronics. A range of new consumer phones from 12 mobile phone brands will be assessed by the Eco Rating initiative, with others expected to be announced in the future. Launch partners include Bullitt Group – Home of CAT and Motorola rugged phones, Doro, HMD Global - Home of Nokia Phones, Huawei, MobiWire, Motorola / Lenovo, OnePlus, OPPO, Samsung Electronics, TCL / Alcatel, Xiaomi and ZTE. Starting from June 2021, the mobile operators will begin to introduce the distinct Eco Rating labelling at point of sale across 24 countries in Europe where they are present. Customers can learn more about the initiative and see how the rating is calculated by visiting a new website at www.ecoratingdevices.com and www.teliacompany.com/ecorating Following a detailed assessment, each mobile phone handset will be given an overall Eco Rating score out of a maximum of 100 to signal the environmental performance of the device across its entire life cycle. -

China Equity Strategy
June 5, 2019 09:40 AM GMT MORGAN STANLEY ASIA LIMITED+ China Equity Strategy | Asia Pacific Jonathan F Garner EQUITY STRATEGIST [email protected] +852 2848-7288 The Rubio "Equitable Act" - Our Laura Wang EQUITY STRATEGIST [email protected] +852 2848-6853 First Thoughts Corey Ng, CFA EQUITY STRATEGIST [email protected] +852 2848-5523 Fran Chen, CFA A new bill sponsored by US Senator Marco Rubio has the EQUITY STRATEGIST potential to cause significant change in the listing domains of [email protected] +852 2848-7135 Chinese firms. After the market close in the US yesterday 4th June the Wall Street Journal published an Op-Ed by US Senator Marco Rubio in which he announced that he intends to sponsor the “Equitable Act” – an acronym for Ensuring Quality Information and Transparency for Abroad-Based Listings on our Exchanges. At this time the text of the bill has not been published and we are seeking additional information about its contents and likelihood of passing. However, our early reaction is that this has the potential to cause significant changes in the domain for listings of Chinese firms going forward with the potential for de- listing of Chinese firms on US exchanges and re-listing elsewhere (most likely Hong Kong). More generally we see this development as part of an increased escalation of tensions between China and the US on multiple fronts which should cap the valuation multiple for China equities, in particular in the offshore index constituents and US-listed parts of the universe. We provide a list of the potentially impacted China / HK names with either primary or secondary listings on Amex, NYSE or Nasdaq. -

Test Report on Terminal Compatibility of Huawei's WLAN Products
Huawei WLAN ● Wi-Fi Experience Interoperability Test Reports Test Report on Terminal Compatibility of Huawei's WLAN Products Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Test Report on Terminal Compatibility of Huawei's WLAN Products 1 Overview WLAN technology defined in IEEE 802.11 is gaining wide popularity today. WLAN access can replace wired access as the last-mile access solution in scenarios such as public hotspot, home broadband access, and enterprise wireless offices. Compared with other wireless technologies, WLAN is easier to operate and provides higher bandwidth with lower costs, fully meeting user requirements for high-speed wireless broadband services. Wi-Fi terminals are major carriers of WLAN technology and play an essential part in WLAN technology promotion and application. Mature terminal products available on the market cover finance, healthcare, education, transportation, energy, and retail industries. On the basis of WLAN technology, the terminals derive their unique authentication behaviors and implementation methods, for example, using different operating systems. Difference in Wi-Fi chips used by the terminals presents a big challenge to terminal compatibility of Huawei's WLAN products. Figure 1-1 Various WLAN terminals To identify access behaviors and implementation methods of various WLAN terminals and validate Huawei WLAN products' compatibility with the latest mainstream terminals used in various industries, Huawei WLAN product test team carried out a survey on mainstream terminals available on market. Based on the survey result, the team used technologies and methods specific to the WLAN field to test performance indicators of Huawei's WLAN products, including the access capability, authentication and encryption, roaming, protocol, and terminal identification. -
