WOORAGEE PRIMARY

SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK… NEWSLETTER IN A SNAPSHOT EVENT CALENDAR

Thank you families for the support you

provided your students and our staff during the remote learning period. There is a part of me that feels that each time we reach the next round, we are somewhat familiar and prepared for what the picture looks like. As we know, it continues to be a much less preferred way of working with our school community, but we were pleased and impressed with the beautiful way parents engaged their children with learning. So thank you for your time, effort and care.

It has been lovely to return to on-site learning, but as we know, there are still restrictions in place. This meant no excursion this week and also the need to cancel our soup & curry night scheduled for next week. We have replaced the event with another social gathering opportunity and open school council meeting. Afternoon tea around the bonfire in Yirrikama on Monday 26th July 2021. This will be a lovely opportunity and the flyer attached provides further information. This event will support part of our school review process which we have been working on since the beginning of the year in preparation for Term 4, 2021. We would love to have as many people from our school community in attendance.

In light of the review, we continue to gather data from our community to gauge how we are tracking as a school community and where we need to refine or improve our practice. We would love if you could take the time to complete the Term 2 parent survey. The link is on

the following page and in the email which was sent out with this newsletter.

Just a remainder also, if there are any family members available to help in the kitchen for the next 5 Fridays, please let Erin know at [email protected], thank you to those people who have already offered to help. It is much appreciated.
