Coolest Club Hangout – Purple Helmet Surfers 18 Registrations Coolest Club winners in 2009, the Purple Helmet Surfers were again crowned kings of cool in 2012. Th e club was born at the very fi rst Carlisle Truck Nationals and has been running strong ever since. Th e truth behind the club is that members of a now-defunct club happened to park next to some socially outgoing folks, and the two groups formed the Purple Helmet Surfers. Th e group only meets at Carlisle and you can guarantee that copious amounts of fun will be had during the show. From pools to lifeguard chairs, guys in hula skirts and coconut bras to blender drinks, this group epitomizes the fun-loving nature of the Coolest Club award.
