When researching my series Bridge in Literature for English Bridge magazine (*) a couple of years ago, I read or re-read a lot of bridge books, and received a number of leads for some books I’d never even heard of. So if you enjoy bridge books, whether instructional, biographical or fictional, the following list should give you some ideas for your Christmas list. Many of these are available second- hand via the usual online resources, and some of them are available new or recently reprinted. Sadly, the well- researched quiz that concluded the series was suppressed in the online edition for “copyright reasons”, but the original questions (12 bridge-related quotations) are available on request.
