The Trevor Hemmings-owned nine-year-old is officially 14lb well-in and is expected to give another bold sight out in front, though the bookmakers have, in recent weeks, fully acknowledged his chance in pricing him shorter than Tiger Roll was when successfully defending his National crown in 2019. There are some fascinating rivals in opposition, and perhaps it might be worth siding with BURROWS SAINT, who looks the pick of the Irish challengers, each-way. Willie Mullins' eight-year-old boasts the dream profile for the race, has ground conditions in his favour and, in truth, his handler has probably been eyeing up this contest ever since he crossed the line in front in the 2019 Irish Grand National. Any Second Now is most interesting of JP McManus' seven declared runners as he was given a quiet prep before registering a 10-length victory at Navan in the Webster Cup, over a trip considered far short of his optimum. He won the 2019 Kim Muir and remains unexposed over extreme distances. Kimberlite Candy, who has finished second over these fences in the last two runnings of the Becher Chase, and Minella Times, who is sure to prove a warm order for the Henry De Bromhead/Rachael Blackmore combination, strengthen McManus' hand further. Of the rest, 2019 Welsh National winner Potters Corner could leave behind his recent efforts now fitted with first-time blinkers and may be staying on when others have raised the white flag, while recent wind surgery could benefit Discorama, who underlined his staying credentials when runner-up in the National Hunt Chase at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival and appears fairly treated on his Ultima Handicap third last season.     1  SUPPLEMENT TO THE RACING CALENDAR ANGLO-IRISH JUMP CLASSIFICATIONS 2020-2021 This is the twenty second full Anglo-Irish Jump Classification. It classifies the best steeplechasers and hurdlers that were trained in either Britain or Ireland during the 2020-2021 season, or in France if that performance was achieved in Britain or Ireland. It is not a handicap but a retrospective measurement of best sustainable performances during the recent season so there may be differences from current handicap marks. The classifications are for all chasers and hurdlers down to a rating of 150. Originally the classification included horses rated 130 and above, which was later revised to 140 and above. 2020-21 is the first time the classification has been limited to 150 and above. Both the steeplechasers and hurdlers are divided into distance categories of 2 miles to 2 miles 2.5 furlongs, 2 miles 3 furlongs to 2 miles 6.5 furlongs and 2 miles 7 furlongs plus. They are included in the list in which the handicappers believe they have put up their best performance. This is the third season that the hurdlers have been divided into three categories to match the steeplechasing division. There is a separate classification identifying Novices rated 150 and above. Juvenile Hurdlers are included in the Novice Hurdle section. Horses trained in Ireland have * appended after their name.
