Please do your cutting before Class! This pattern is involved, if you come to class without your cutting done, I will try to help, but you will be behind. Fabric: Quilting Weight cottons Main Body Fabric Outside of bag 1 yard Lining Fabric: 1 ¼ yard Handles: These can be made from the lining fabric or main fabric: ¼ yard **you can also use 1” wide webbing please purchase 1 ½ - 2 yards Deco Bond by Pellon or a heavy fusible (45” wide) 2 yards : You will need a one for the top closing of your bag 14” or longer You will need 2 (match one to lining,one to main fabric 7” ¾” magnetic snap 1” Rectangle Rings or 1” D-rings, please do not make these the oversized thick rings, they won’t work. Just get the standard D-or rectangle rings. You will need for Ursula -2 or Emily -4. *Optional: If you would like to purchase ½” double fold to match your main fabric you will need 1 package. If you are using webbing for your handles match the bias tape to the webbing.

Before Class: In your pattern, there is a sheet with # labels for all your pattern pieces. Please copy this sheet we will use it to your pieces together. (You do not need to use Avery Labels, paper is fine. I like to make a copy to keep my pattern intact knowing I will make more than one purse) Handles: If you are using the webbing, skip this step. From the fabric you have chosen, cut 2 strips 4” Wide x Width of Fabric (WOF) From the fusible interfacing, Cut 2 Strips 4” x WOF Fuse the interfacing to the wrong side of the handles following manufactures directions. Press the handles length wise in half. Now open your handles and press each long edge in to the fold. You will now have long pieces with the raw edges folded insides.

Main Fabric: Cut a 27” x WOF piece of this fabric, Set aside the the extra. Cut a 27” x WOF piece of Interfacing Fuse the interfacing to the wrong side of the handles following manufactures directions Fold the fabric with the fused interfacing in half wrong sides together, in the same way that it came off the bolt, it will be approx. 27” wide x 20” high. From this folded piece, Cut 1 strip 5” x WOF Cut 1 strip 8” x WOF Cut 1 Strip 6” x WOF Cut 1 strip 3 ½” x WOF Place your strips in a bag with your Handles, (we will do the rest of the cutting from these fabrics as we need the pieces to save confussion.)

Lining Fabric: Cut a 22” x WOF Cut a 22” x WOF from the Interfacing Fuse the interfacing to the wrong side of the handles following manufactures directions Add this to your bag with the handles and Main fabric. Place all your extra fabric and interfacing in a separate bag and bring to class.
