ROAD DEVELOPMENTS IN PUNE BY VARIOUS MODULE Need for the project: • PMC is very keen to develop the all city roads which are aligned in development plan .Developed length 2500 km out of 3600 km. • HCMTR ring road shall help decongest roads in city. • The concept of “Public Private Partnership” arised due to shortage of funds for mega projects in City. Project achievement and its beneficiaries: . Road grid network development through out city for better connectivity and accessibility to all. Public at large are the beneficiaries. Policy frameworks, City plans and strategies: • As per provisions in Regional Town planning Act, city corporation has to develop all city roads with the enforcement of municipal act

Anticipated Environmental and Climate [Resilience] Impact (Positive & Negative) Environment Impacts: • Due to road development , traffic flow will be smooth, thereby reducing the pollution due to traffic halting. • Article 48 and Article 51 of the Indian Constitution embolden the spirit of the responsibility of the Government to maintain the Environment so as to provide a better quality of Life for its citizen.
