Minutes 9 The minutes of the meeting held on 8 January 2018 were confirmed and signed.

Questions from Members of the Council 10 No questions were asked by members under Standing Order 20(2).

Exempt

Exclusion of the Public Resolved That under Section 100(a)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the business specified in Minute 11 because it was likely that if members of the public were present there would be a disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act and the public interest in withholding the information outweighed the public interest in disclosing that information.

School Transport Appeals (Paragraphs 1 & 2) 11 The Committee considered a number of appeals against the County Council’s refusal to provide pupils with transport support.

Resolved 1. That the appeal on behalf of KB against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between her home and St Edwards RC/CE School, be refused. 2. That the appeal on behalf of CM against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between her home and School, be allowed until the end of term July 2018 and only for Shaftesbury School.

3. That the appeal on behalf of CF against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport between his home and The Atlantic , Portland, be refused. 4. That the appeal on behalf of TW and JW against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between their home and , be refused in the case of TW and allowed in the case of JW until the end of term July 2018. 5. That the appeal on behalf of LC against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and , be refused. 6. That the appeal on behalf of PF against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and St Mary’s and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, be refused. 7. That the appeal on behalf of R M-B against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and Bransgore Primary School, be refused. 8. That the appeal on behalf of MW against the County Council’s refusal to provide transport support between her home and Gillingham VC School, be refused.
