It gives me immense pleasure to invite applicants into different programmes of study for the upcoming academic session. The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) of Gauhati University offers the platform to the students to develop interdisciplinary approach in understanding knowledge through cross-disciplinary method. The academic curriculum, teaching-learning method/pedagogy, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities make synchronized efforts to ensure holistic enrichment of the students. To ensure growth, exposure and equip the students to global opportunities in the near future, Gauhati University has invigorated admission of international students. Further, the campus of the University is ICT enabled and the colleges provide an e-learning and e-connect environment to a great extent. In terms of its credentials, seventy one years of it history illustrates a trail of achievements. The most recent one being the accreditation of the University by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A Grade (2018) as per the new criteria and ranking of the University among one of the best universities of the region by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Students, teachers and staff, the three major pillars for the growth of higher education are intact and in sync in Gauhati University. These have aided to bring in positive changes and will develop overall sustainability in the near future.
