Saved from the wrecking ball in 1985 by the City of Milwaukee's Historic Preservation Commission, this 1898 English Renaissance Revival Style gem by noted architects Ferry and Clas sat underutilized until Juli Kaufmann of Fix Development, Patrick R. Jones of Ramsey Jones Architects, and Andy Braatz of Braatz Building meshed their expertise in development, architecture, and construction to test the viability of turning the vacant double mansion into a small historic hotel.

Located in the East Town neighborhood of Milwaukee's downtown, this 17-room historic boutique hotel unites impressive architecture and history with contemporary design and amenities under one roof to introduce a rare, independent experience immersed in both urban and natural curiosities. Dubbel Dutch offers the comfort and ease of an independent experience with online check in, building and room access by key code, and no traditional front desk but staff on call 24/7. COVID safety is a top priority with individual guest room HVAC units (no shared air), strict cleaning procedures including rooms being sealed prior to check in, and we always let you know when your room was last cleaned and stayed in.

PARKING We have 8 spots for purchase at the rear of the building, off of the alley. We are also able to secure additional permit spots in a nearby lot if needed. Please let us know if you would like to add on parking to your buyout.

PETS We do allow dogs for an additional fee. Contact us with questions.

TAVERN The Dubbel Dutch Tavern includes 3 unique common area indoor spaces for your group to utilize; tavern, parlor, and private dining room as well as outdoor seating on our grotto and front paver areas. Capacity may vary due to current regulations and guidelines but can reach up to 80. Tavern rental is not included in full and half house buyouts and must be added on. Rental fees do not include open bar packages, which can be arranged with our Tavern Manager.

CANCELLATION POLICY

At Dubbel Dutch we understand that cancellations may need to occur. We sincerely hope we can work together with you to postpone or reschedule your reservation. However, if cancellation is necessary our policy states that Dubbel Dutch shall be entitled to 100% of the deposit if cancellation occurs within 90 days of the scheduled stay. If the cancellation is due to COVID-19 or Stay at Home orders, please call us so that we can work with you and your group.
