Pub Officers Summary Report Date: 9th August 2021 Activities during pandemic: • Managed Additional Service feature of WhatPub. • Posted daily newsletter to Facebook of what services pubs were providing. • Continued to manage branch mailouts. • Launched new website: https://dds.camra.org.uk. Old website will be retained, but the license will not be renewed. Simpler editing facilities so can be taken over by someone else. • Branch email address now end in @dds.camra.org.uk. Old email addresses will be retained and monitored but will not be renewed. • Involved in testing/specification: o Pubzilla. o Premises Status/Change Types. o Ownership fields. • WhatPub: o I received more WhatPub updates than the rest of the put together o Aim is to better engage with publicans, to sell then on “owning” their entry. o Use of photos must be approved by the owner. o Added link to Paul Skelton’s Kent public House Archive. o For listed buildings - adding link to Historic website. • Coordinated Good Beer Guide selection and surveys. • Coordinated POTY judging. • Prepared a list of Listed Pubs across the branch. For this year I’d like to suggest that we take scores from 1st Jan to 31st Dec due to the impact of the lockdown.
