Day 03: Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Phitsanulok American Breakfast at the hotel. Start by air-conditioned vehicle to Ayutthaya, with visits of Wat Pananchueng and Wat Yai Chaimongk- hol. Continue to Phitsanulok. En route several stops and lunch at local restaurant. Late afternoon arrive in Phitsanulok and hotel check-in. Overnight at Ruean Phae Royal Park Hotel, *** or similar

Day 04: Phitsanulok - Sukhothai - Chiang Rai American Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit the Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Temple with the world famous Buddha statue of “Phra Buddha Jinaraj”. Continue to Sukhothai and visit Sukhothai Historical Park. Enjoy sightseeing around the historical parks by tram. Afterwards drive trough beautiful landscapes to Chiang Rai. En Route several stops inclusive a visit of a pineapple or rice farm (depending on season) and lunch at a local restaurant. Late afternoon arrive in Chiang Rai and hotel check-in. Day 05: Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Rai American Breakfast at the hotel. Drive north to visit Chiang Saen, the former capital on the ﬁrst Thai Kingdom, situated direct on the Mekong River. Have a short visit of the most important temple in town and the Opium Museum. Enjoy a thrilling longtail boat ride on the mighty Mekhong River along the banks on the Laotian side of the river. You’ll shortly stop also in a little Village of Laos, where you don’t need Visa Applications for 30 minutes. You can shop around or just enjoy refreshments. Visit the viewpoint of the famous Golden Triangle where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet. Continue to Mae Sai, the border town to Myanmar and explore the local market with goods from Myanmar and China. Overnight at Wiang Inn Hotel, ***(*) or similar

Drive through mountainous landscape to Thatorn. En route visit a Yao & Akha Hilltribe Village as well as Mae Salong, beautifully situated on a mountain. Lunch in Thatorn overlooking Kok Riv- er. Continue to Chiang Mai with brief stops at a picturesque local market and at Chiang Dao caves. Before checking in at your hotel, short drive up the hillside to Chiang Mai’s most im- pressive temple, Doi Suthep, 1056m. above sea level. The view from the top is spectacular. Day 07: Chiang Mai American Breakfast at the hotel. Fullday sightseeing tour in Chiang Mai, visiting an orchid farm, Chiang Mai’s most beautiful temples and a few workshops of local craftsmen that put Chiang Mai on the world map (silk, wood- carvings, silver, jewelry or lacquerware). Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the evening, you will have the possibility to visit the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar on your own. Day 01: from Bangkok or other - Chiang Mai Meet at Chiang Mai airport and transfer to Hotel. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep (A.D.1384) 3,500 feet above sea-level, containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha, with a chal- lenging ﬂight of over 300 steps, ﬂanked by mythological Nagas. A panoramic view of the City can be seen from here at 3,500 feet above sea level. Overnight at The Park Hotel, *** or similar.

Day 02: Chiang Mai Breakfast at hotel. Start the day tour by visiting to Warorot Market (or Kad Luang), alive with its daily hus- tle and bustle exotic fresh fruits, preserved food, local delicacies, clothes galore, flowers and other Knick knacks, all at reasonable prices. Afterwards, take a boat trip upstream the Ping River to enjoy beautiful scenery and local life along the riverside. Take a short break at the farmer’s house for a fresh fruit or herb juice. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Sankamphaeng; with its Thai silk and cotton hand- looms; Bor Sang, the paper and umbrella-making village; the Celadon kilns with its exquisite, traditional high-fired stoneware factories. The main purpose of this tour is to show you how talented Chiang Mai people are at their art works and handicrafts from raw materials until the finished products. Day 03: Chiang Mai - Chaing Rai Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Chiang Rai overland across mountains, valleys and picturesque landscapes. A stop is made at the Hot Springs along the way. Stop also at Wat Rong Khun or known to foreigners as the White Temple. It is very different to any of temples you’ve seen in Thailand. At Mae Chan visit a Yao and an Akha hilltribe village. Continue to Mae Sai, the northernmost town of the country, bordering Myanmar. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit the famous and popular Golden Triangle area around Chiang Saen, situated on the banks of the Mekong River which divides Thailand and Laos. Experience a boat trip on the Mekong River. Transfer to your hotel in Chiang Rai city and check in. Overnight at Wiang Inn Hotel,*** or similar.

Day 04: Chiang Rai - Airport Breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure and transfer to Chiang Rai Airport. End of the programme.
