Your apartment is located in the Campo de’Fiori district of Rome. This area covers the land between Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and the River. It is known for their famous open air market and the lively atmposphere of medieval inns that once flourished here. It also includes Renaissance Palaces, such as and Spada. Overlooking the picturesque Tiber Island is the former Jewish Ghetto where many traces of daily life from the past centuries can still be seen.

Points of interest in this area include:

CAMPO DE FIORI – This colorful market is one of Rome’s most entertaining squares. During the day you can shop for fresh produce, flowers, truffles, jewelry, housewares and so much more. In the evening it is the hangout for young Romans and students. Piazza Capo di Ferio, 13 - 14th century palace is one of Rome’s most beautiful. Also visit the where the private collections of the Cardinals who resided here still hang on the walls. GHETTO AND SYNAGOGUE – dei Cenci - The synagogue was completed in 1904 and houses a museum regarding the history of the community. TIBER ISLAND – Isola Tiberina This island in the middle of the Tiber river is reached by a footbridge the PONTE FABRICIO Built in 62 BC it is the oldest bridge that crosses the Tiber. The other bridge, the PONTE CESTIO has the names of the Byzantine emperors who were responsible for its restoration in 370 AD. VIA GIULIA – one of the most picturesque streets in Rome and an ideal place for a casual stroll on a cool late afternoon. SAN GIOVANNI DEI FIORENTINI – Via Acciaoli 2 - built for the large Florentine community to show the cultural superiority of Florence over Rome, it was started in the 16th century and took over 100 years to complete. Most of the artwork is by Florentine artists, and Borromini, who designed the altar, is buried here.
