2019 High School Survey : Summary

Introduction : This ‘whole school’ survey was organised by Mr James Cooney, Assistant Head of HHS in December 2019. It was based on a Cycle North questionnaire, which was designed to understand the methods pupils used to travel to school, their reasons & preferences and the nature & extent of any barriers which discourage them for either walking or cycling (Active travel). Over 2000 specific responses were received to the questions from 276 pupils. This represents a commendable 20% response rate from a total population of 1350 pupils. The raw data used to draft this summary and charts is taken from a spread sheet. Note : the numbers of pupils referred to in this Summary are extrapolated from the percentage responses to total number of pupils.
