When there is no portable fence and the light pole is in the playing field, if a batted ball hits the light pole on a fly, the ball will be called dead, the batter will be awarded two bases, and all runners will be awarded two bases under the Official Baseball Rules, Rule 7.05 (f). The ball will remain live and in play should a ball bound into the light pole.
