15TH ANNIVERSARY­ HELLENIC HOME FOR THE AGED, SCARBOROUGH SITE AUGUST 16, 2019

On Friday, August 16, 2019 the Hellenic Home celebrated the 15­year Anniversary of the Scarborough site.

The Home was honoured to have the Premier of Ontario Mr. Doug Ford, Mr. Raymond Cho, the Minister of Seniors and Accessibility, Ms. Christina Mitas, MPP (Scarborough Centre), Mrs. Salma Zahid MP (Scarborough Centre) and Mr. Michael Thompson, City Councilor, Scarborough Centre.

Mr. Kosta Kostouros, Hellenic Home CEO, thanked Premier Doug Ford and Ms. Christina Mitas for honouring the Scarborough Home with their visit as well as their assistance with the Home receiving the allocation of the 128 new Long­Term Care bed licenses for Scarborough.

The Premier of Ontario, Mr. Doug Ford was welcomed by Mr. Thomas Noitsis, the Secretary of the Board of Directors and on behalf of the President of the Board, Mr. John C. Fanaras.

Ms. Christina Mitas was welcomed by Mr. Mike Neroulas, Chair of the Long­Term Care Committee and member of the Board of Directors.

In attendance from the Board of Directors of the Home were Mr. Basil Carayannis, Mr. Greg Kanargelidis, Mr. Nicolas Kourous and Mr. Andonis Artemakis, Ex­Officio of the Hellenic Home Board of Directors and President of the Greek community of Toronto.

The Hellenic Home would like to thank all the residents and their families, the benefactors and donors, volunteers, Board of Directors and Ladies Auxiliary both present and past, the staff, the media and the Greek Community at large for this great success.
