MATERIALS Premier Yarns® Ever Soft (100% acrylic; 85g/158 yds) • 16 Dark Ocean (MC) – 2 balls Premier Yarns® City Life (38% polyester/26% polyamide/20% acrylic/11% wool/5% metallic); 50g/140 yds) • 09 Golden (CC) – 1 ball Needles: US Size 6 (4mm) & 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge Notions:4 - Stitch markers, tapestry needle, pair of purse handles

GAUGE 20 sts x 24 rows = 4” in St st with MC and larger needles Directions: Save time, check your gauge.

STITCH GUIDE Mb (make bobble): Kfb into same st 2 times (3 sts inc’d), [sl these 4 sts back to LH ndl, k4] 2 times, sl same 4 sts back to LH ndl, [k2tog] 2 times, pass nd2 st on RH ndl over 1st st - 1 st rem.

Seed st (multiple of 2 sts + 1) Row 1: * K1, p1; rep from * to last st, k1. Rep Row 1 for patt.

Bobble st (multiple of 4 sts + 1) (Note: On Rnds 3 & 9, carry unworked yarn behind working yarn as you knit bobbles. Carry CC loosely up the side of the work between Bobble rnds.) Rnds 1 & 2: With MC, knit. Rnd 3: * K3 with MC, mb with CC; rep from * to last st, k1 with MC. Indian Pillar st (multiple of 4 sts) Rnd 1: * K1, [p3tog, knit the same 3 tog, purl the same 3 tog], sl all 3 sts from ndl; rep from * to end. Rnd 2: Knit. Rnd 3: * [P3tog, knit the same 3 tog, purl the same 3 tog], sl all 3 sts from ndl, k1; rep from * to end. Rnd 4: Knit. Rep Rnds 1 – 4 for patt.

PATTERN NOTES Bag is knitted from the bottom up. First you work the bottom panel, then stitches are picked up around the sides and bag is knit in the round to the top. When working decrease rounds at the top of the bag, you will not always be able to complete a full repeat of bobble round. Work these extra stitches in St st, do not place bobbles next to corner stitches. Each corner stitch will be slipped on every other round, placing markers helps designate these stitches.

BOTTOM Using MC, smaller needles, cast on 63 sts. Row 1: Work Row 1 of Seed St patt. Cont in patt until work meas 1½. Do not bind off.

Turn work clockwise. Pick up and knit 9 sts along left side edge of bag, turn work clockwise, pick up and knit 63 sts along cast-on edge, turn work clockwise, pick up and knit 9 sts along right side edge of bag – 144 sts. Pm for beg of rnd.

Body of Bag Change to larger needles and knit 1 rnd. Next Rnd: Sl 1 st (this is a corner st), beg Bobble st patt on Rnd 1 over 9 sts, pm, sl 1 st (corner st), work Bobble st patt over 63 sts, pm, sl 1 st (corner st), work Bobble st patt over 9 sts, pm, sl 1 st (corner st), work Bobble st patt over 63 sts. Next Rnd: * Knit corner st, work Bobble st patt on Rnd 2 over 9 sts, knit corner st, work Bobble st patt over 63 sts; rep from * once more. Cont to work in patt as established until work meas 4”. Dec Rnd: Work to m, k2tog, work to 2 bef m, ssk; rep from * once more – 4 sts dec’d. Rep Dec Rnd every 8th rnd, 2 more times, then next th6 rnd, one time – 128 sts. Rep Dec Rnd once more. Next Rnd: Work Rnd 1 of Indian Pillar st. Work Rnds 2 – 4 of Indian Pillar st, then work Rnds 1 – 2, one more time.

Bind off as follows all( stitches are worked in purl). Work as for basic method, but first purl 3 sts onto the RH needle. Then pull the first st over the next 2 sts. Two sts will rem on the RH needle as you bind off. Cont in

FINISHING Weave in all ends. Sew handles onto front and back of Bag.
