Intermediate and Senior Scoring Rules

Procedure for scoring:

The scoring of rounds for Intermediate and Senior 4H archers will be done by the archers, not a Range Officer(s)/volunteer(s). No arrow shall be touched until all arrows have been scored. Touching an arrow could deform the point of impact of an arrow and give it an incorrect score. The shooter will not be documenting their own scores by themselves. Each shooter will be given two scorecards. One is the official score card to be your official score turned in, the other is the unofficial score card used to verify the official scorecard. The shooters will be placed in squads of 3 to 4 shooters. The squad will choose one shooter to write down the scores on the official scorecard, a different shooter to write down scores on the unofficial scorecard, one shooter to “call out” the scores on the target, and the 4th shooter (if there is a squad of 4) as an observer. The Range Officer(s) will settle a disputed arrow score for an arrow in the target. All settled disputes are final. All scorecards are to be turned in within 15 minutes of completion of the final end and/or make up arrows.
