[generalNote]: Hanes gweinyddol / Braslun bywgraffyddol | Administrative history | Biographical sketch Nodyn | Note David Rhys Phillips, 'Beili Glas' (1862-1952) from the vale of Neath, Glamorgan, became librarian of the Welsh Department of the Swansea Public Library, and was responsible for the Celtic collection. He was one of the founders and the first honorary secretary of the Welsh Bibliographical Society, and honorary secretary and editor of the Celtic Congress. He did freelance work throughout his life, including for the reading and editorial section of the Oxford University Press. He worked to improve the study of librarianship in Wales. He was a successful competitor at the National Eisteddfod in literary competitions, and was an active member of the Gorsedd. His main interest, however, was the history of the vale of Neath; his magnum opus, The history of the vale of Neath, was published in 1925.     Dulais Valley Partnership Heritage Audit May 2008 Background The Dulais Valley Partnership works in partnership with a number of agencies, such as the local authority, education and training institutions, Economic Development Agencies, voluntary organisations, democratically elected representatives and active community members to find solutions to the social and economic deprivation of the Dulais Valley. The staff of the Dulais Valley Partnership works with local volunteers, implementing a number of projects. In January 2008 a Community Heritage Officer was appointed on a two year Heritage Lottery funded project. Part of the role was to carry out a heritage audit of the Dulais Valley to inform plans and link with the wider framework. Sources consulted The basis of the audit involved consulting readily available archaeological and historical information from various sources including databases, documentary and cartographic.     FINAL PROPOSALS Community No. M25 - LLANFIHANGEL Introduction 1. The present community of Llanfihangel lies in the Montgomeryshire hill country, where the terrain rarely rises above 1,000 feet. A number of watercourses and their valleys criss-cross the community: to the south the upper reaches of the river Efyrnwy and its small tributaries the nentydd Dolwar and Llwydiarth, and in the north the valley of the nant Alan. Likewise, a number of routes criss-cross the landscape: the B4382, B4395 and the B4393 being the main, with all but the latter, which leads to Lake Vyrnwy, being of little more than local importance. Llanfihangel and Dolanog are defined as small villages in the Powys Unitary Development Plan. The remainder of the population of this community lives in scattered farms and dwellings and in the rural settlement of Pont Llogel (Llwydiarth). 2. The community has a population of 516, an electorate of 410 (2005) and a council of 8 members. The precept required for 2005 is £3,200, representing a Council Tax Band D equivalent of £12.81. 3. In the 1986 Review the Local Government Boundary Commission for Wales redrew the southern boundary of this community to include the settlement of Dolanog and its surrounding area within the new community of Llanfihangel. This entailed a number of transfers of areas to the new community: an area to the south of the settlement and including Gwaenynog, Tirdu and Gartheilin from the then communities of Llanfair Caereinion and Llangyniew, an area to the west of the settlement at Penisacyffin and taking in the wall of the Efynrnwy valley from the then communities of Llanerfyl and Llangadfan, and an area to the east of the settlement at Wern-y-wig and Glan-yr-afon-uchaf from the then community of Llangyniew.

Details were entered on the Declaration Form and this would be published on the SCC website in accordance with section 55 of the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013. Matters Arising 4. Social Housing. Pat spoke about the affordable rented housing provided by both the Council and housing associations. She also spoke about rural areas in Pembrokeshire, including Solva, which were in need of more social housing. Bob spoke about PCC plans to build new social housing on the area adjacent to Bro Dawel. These plans would be presented with other priority housing sites identified in Pembrokeshire at the Cabinet meeting on 8th October 2018. If approved, and before any planning application to PCNPA, SCC would be consulted re layout of the development, the inclusion and position of a football pitch, options for the provision of a skate park and a designated parking area, plus a path to support the SCC project to connect upper and lower Solva.
