Price Agency and Monopoly Corporation NotificationNo. 9 October 1, 1951 In accordance with the provisions of Article 23 paragraph 1 of the Salt Monopoly Law (Law No. 112 of 1949) the sellingprices of salt by the Japan Monopoly Corporation for manufacture of caustic soda and soda ash are designated as follows,and shall come into force as from October 1, 1951. Prices shown in the above table shall be on alongside quay wall of the soda factory or free on rail of the nearest railway station. 2. Prices in the table shall be of ,salt which contains from 92% to less than 93% of NaCl. and 125 yen shall be added or reduced with the variation of percentage of NaCl by 1% The per- centage of NaCl shall be determined in accordance with the method which shall be decided by the President of the Japan Monopoly Corporation.

3. In case special charges are to be born by the consumer for the disposition of such impede ments as large grain size,impurity and great percentage of components other than NaCl con- tained, and at the same time it is not proper to apply prices in the table to sUch salt,the Pres- ident, of the Japan Monopoly Corporation may reduce the price in the table. 4. In case the ship of import could directly get alongside the pier of the factory, the salt shall be delivered on board the ship of import on the basis of quantity as per the ship'sdraft survey report and the sellingprice shall be fixed at 7,740yen notwithstanding the prices quoted in the
