From: The Queen’s Voice, September 28, 1941 Practically every Catholic in this parish goes to Mass on Sunday. We go to Mass on Sunday because we are bound under pain of mortal sin to participate in the greatest act of worship in the world. We go to Mass because we believe that it is the re-enactment of the Sacrifice of Calvary. We go to Mass because we believe that the bread and wine is changed into the Body and Blood of Christ on the altar. Queen of angels church is filled almost to capacity for the three Mass on Sunday. That means an attendance of more than a thousand people. The same Sacrifice fo the Mass which is o ffered on the altar on Sunday is offered every day of the week. Because of work, a great number of people cannot attend daily Mass. But where are the rest? There are parishes with one half the number of people with three times as many at daily Mass. Won’t you spare just 30 minutes from your house-work, or your garden, or your lawn to participate in daily Mass?

The Queen’s Voice March 31, 1940
