‘CHRISTMAS WITH TUCKER’ CAST BIOS JAMES BROLIN (Bo) — James Brolin, the recipient of an Emmy® and two Golden Globe® Awards, is one of television’s best-known and most popular stars. His wide-reaching acting credits range from tightly written TV dramas to big screen comedies. As a director, he has helmed episodes of such TV shows as “Pensacola: Wings of Gold,” “Hotel” and “The Young Riders.” He made his film directorial debut in 1997 with “My Brother’s War,” in which he also starred. The film earned the Best Film award at the 1997 Hollywood Film Festival. While he has worked extensively in all television genres, Brolin is best known for his work in two long-running series: As Dr. Steven Kiley in “Marcus Welby, M.D.,” which earned him a Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Emmy and as Peter McDermott in the immensely popular drama “Hotel.” Brolin also starred in the action-adventure “Extreme” and the Western serial drama “Angel Falls.” Telefilm credits include “Trapped,” the highest rated telefilm of its season, the CBS miniseries “And the Sea Will Tell,” “Widow on the Hill,” “Category 7: The End of the World,” “Wedding Wars,” “Lost City Raiders,” “Blackout” and “Reinventing the Wheelers.” Brolin’s work in “The Reagans” earned him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Mini-Series or Movie category. Additionally, he also hosted the ABC primetime wildlife reality series “The World of Discovery.” Television series guest appearances include those on “The West Wing,” “Monk” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Psych” and “The Defenders.” In 2012, Brolin had a guest-starring role on “Community” and made a special appearance on “Castle” as Richard Castle’s father. Brolin’s feature film career has been as varied as his work in television. He made his motion picture debut in 1962’s “Take Her, She’s Mine” with James Stewart and Sandra Dee. In 1967, he landed a starring role in “The Cape Town Affair” opposite Jacqueline Bissett. Other film credits include director Michael Crichton’s “Westworld,” “Gable and Lombard,” “Capricorn One,” “The Amityville Horror” and Allison Anders’ “Gas, Food Lodging.” Brolin also produced and starred in the critically acclaimed independent film “Cheatin’ Hearts.” He has also appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s “Traffic,” the comedy “Master of Disguise” with Dana Carvey, Steven Spielberg’s “Catch Me If You Can,” Denzel Washington’s “Antwone Fisher,” “A Guy Thing” with Julia Stiles, Jason Lee and Selma Blair, “Love, Wedding, Marriage” with Mandy Moore and Jane Seymour, “Lust & Alibis,” “The Hunting Party,” “Bad Girl Island,” “The American Standards,” “Last Chance Harvey,” with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson,” “Bitter/Sweet,” “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard” opposite Jeremy Piven, “Angel Camouflaged,” “Burlesque,” “Last Will” and the film short “Royal Reunion.” Brolin will next be seen in the films “Elsa & Fred” opposite Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer and David O. Russell’s “Nailed” with Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel and Catherine Keener. Brolin is also prepping to direct the true story of Ruby McCollum, a black woman who was convicted of killing a white man in 1952. ### (more) HALLMARK MOVIE CHANNEL/‘CHRISTMAS WITH TUCKER’ – Cast Bios – Page 2 JOSIE BISSETT (Jill) — Josie Bissett is recognized internationally for her role as the popular Jane Mancini in “Melrose Place,” which ended its successful seven-year run in May 1999. To date, she has graced more than 40 magazine covers, including such publications as TV Guide, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Shape’s Fit Pregnancy and New Woman. Bissett can currently be seen as Kathleen Bowman in ABC Family’s breakout hit drama “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” created and executive produced by Brenda Hampton. Bissett, a Seattle native, began her career at the age of 12 as a model in print advertisements and television commercials. She left home at 16 to further her career in Japan and the following year headed to Hollywood. She soon landed the role of Cara on “The Hogan Family,” where she spent two seasons. Within two years of her arrival in Los Angeles, Bissett was cast on “Melrose Place” and quickly became one of television’s most recognizable actors. In recent years, she has had the opportunity to explore many diverse and interesting characters in such projects as the ABC movies “The Fire Above” and “Dare to Love,” the Fox telefilm “Deadly Vows,” the USA Networks telefilm “Baby Monitor: Sound of Fear,” the ABC Family telefilm “I Do, They Don’t,” as well as Lifetime’s “Obituary” and “The Other Woman,” based on the best-selling novel by Joy Fielding and directed by Jason Priestley. In 2009, she reprised the role of Jane Mancini, now Jane Andrews, in two episodes of the new “Melrose Place,” which aired on Fox in 2009-2010. Bissett has hosted numerous shows including “Parenting & Beyond” and the PBS educational special, “Teach More, Love More,” which follows four families, each with a child in one of the four critical stages of early childhood development: newborn, infancy, toddlerhood and preschool. Bissett made her feature film debut in Oliver Stone’s “The Doors,” in which she played the wife of Doors’ guitarist Robbie Krieger. Other film credits include the coming-of-age comedy “Book of Love” and the psychological thriller “Mikey.” In addition to her acting career, Bissett is also the published author of a number of books. Her first, Little Bits of Wisdom, inspired by the birth of her first child in 2001 and now in its third printing, is a collection of parenting wisdom and child-rearing “tricks of the trade” gathered from more than 1,000 parents and grandparents throughout the world. In 2003, she completed a second book, Making Memories, which featured more than 200 ways for parents to create rich family memories with their children. She has also written the children’s books Tickle Monster and Boogie Monster, which were written to encourage families to spend quality time together. The Mom’s Choice Awards (MCA) named both interactive books among the best in family friendly products in 2009 and 2011, respectively. MCA named Bissett the 2008 “Celebrity Mom of the Year.” Additionally, Bissett has been the face of several national commercial campaigns, including Neutrogena’s skin care line, Dr. Scholl’s Pedicure Essentials and Murad Skin Care’s Resurgence Regimen. After two summers at acting camp, Munroe asked his parents whether he could add acting to his long list of extracurricular pursuits. In the six years since, he has had the great fortune to explore the many sides of the film and television industry, performing in TV commercials, movies of the week, children’s animated series and feature films. Some of Munroe’s notable credits include such television shows as the Steven Spielberg- produced “Falling Skies,” NBC’s “The Firm” and episodes of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Life With Boys” and “Alphas.” TV movies include Lifetime’s “Sunday’s at Tiffany’s” and the Hallmark Channel Original Movies “Old Fashioned Thanksgiving” and “The Night Before the Night Before Christmas” (his role in the film nabbed him a 2011 Young Artist Award nomination). Munroe also voices the main characters in the eponymously titled animated series “Mr. Moon and Justin Time” and plays the recurring role of Matt in the preschool favorite “My Big, Big Friend.” In 2011, Munroe appeared in the blockbuster 3-D feature film “Immortals,” in which he had the opportunity to work opposite Frieda Pinto and John Hurt. More recently, he played one of the lead roles in the critically acclaimed Canadian feature production, “I Declare War,” a best picture and best screenplay winner at up-and-coming genre film festival ActionFest. “I Declare War” was a festival favorite at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. Munroe also co- starred in the Canadian feature “Mad Ship,” directed by David Mortin and has just wrapped filming a lead in the action feature “Skating to New York,” which shot in northern Ontario. Munroe’s passion for film transcends all aspects of the art and business of movie making.
