Meurig Jones Orders and Medals Research Society member #3884 Objective • The objective of this exhibit is to demonstrate that the Second Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902 was the centre of Britain’s military history as told through the campaign medal. • The central part of the exhibit is the interactive map of the world showing where the men and women who served in the Second Anglo-Boer War had previous or subsequent service. • There is not an exhaustive list of QSAs and other medals in this presentation, nor is every “character” shown; the Empire created many interesting men and women. • The data is drawn from my on-going work building a new QSA & KSA medal roll index. • For more information or to tell me about a campaign medal or clasp I have missed please e-mail me: [email protected]

Served aboard SS Roebuck, during Operation Dynamo (May- June 1940) evacuating troops from Dunkirk. The ship then sailed to evacuate the 51st Highland Division at St Valerie- en-Caux. The ship was hit by enemy fire mortally wounding Caddy. He died in Brighton 25th June, 1940.
