In keeping with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadhan, KPGCC hosted fifty orphans from the Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim Alkhairiyah to a ‘Buka Puasa’ buffet spread on August 10. The children had a great time enjoying the ‘1Malaysia Satu Kampung’ Ramadhan buffet dinner at the Poolside Café. The vast variety of local and western delights on offer among others were, daging masak bahmiah, murtabak ayam, gulai kawah and roast lamb, complemented by more with 20 food stalls that added an authentic ambience to the set-up. As they savoured the food, the children were entertained with traditional music by a ‘live’ Ghazal band. Yap Kah Hin and Lim Ah Peen combined well to win the Men’s Doubles combined age 90 & above category, fighting off Hew Sin Mee and Goh Say Ban in the final. The pairs of Goh Meng Keong/Goh Khir Chaye and Bernard Wang/Ong Sin Oong also made it to the finals.
